Just traded in my old Px4 towards a FNS-9C. Hoooooly shit this trigger is fucking clean. Instantly one of my favorites to shoot.
Anyone else have one, and what should I know about this thing?

apparently not

You made a wise choice. I have the version that comes with night sights. It's by far my favorite carry gun. It's everything gen 4 Glock should have been but Glock failed to deliver. If someone likes Glocks over the FNS-9C then they're literally a faggot.
The only issue I have with the gun is that the magazine release is stiff, but it was designed this way at the request of police departments. The ambi release is nice.
Maybe this is in my mind, but I think the sleeve on the extended 17 round magazine may slip / move a tiny bit when firing rapidly. Let me know your experience with that.
How does it compare to the PPS?
>>32626103
A PPS is single stack so it's going to be lighter and thinner and easier to conceal.
>>32626087
Where's your front sight on the FNS bruh?
>>32626160
It's just perfectly shaded in the shadow of the other gun.
>>32623994
You did good, a fantastic line of striker guns, I rec every model.
Things to note - crossbreed makes awesome hybrid holsters for em.
And the Safariland ALS just released for the 4"
>>32626410
>>32623994
And the out of the box trigger is definitely tits. It's still got all the inherent striker downsides but it breaks fucking clean, resets short as fuck with almost no take up.

just grin and bear it bro

All of the actual complaints I hear are about the grip. What didn't you like about the px4? How does the trigger break feel? On the SR9 it's a very distinct snap.
>take a DA/SA gun
>"don't like" the initial DA trigger pull because you never learned how to use it properly
>buy striker fired gun
>"wow this trigger is so much better!"

Facile and weak.
DA/SA - DA pull is vastly different than a striker, and usually twice as heavy or more.
It's the inconsistency in length of pull combined with weight that are seen as inefficient and undesirable.
consistency, short and quick, less creep, minimal/no reset take up, these matter.

FNS 9 >>>>>>>> Block 19
My buddy has an FNS 9, I liked it when I tried it out at the range. I'm typically an HK guy but it seemed like a great little pistol.
>>32626410
How's the aliengear holster? That's the one I was looking at.
>>32626441
Amen. I can already see myself shooting better with this than any other handgun I've owned.
>>32627480
I didn't dislike the Px4, it was a great range toy with a decent trigger and grip. It was just too bulky and the ergos were too crap for me to use it as a proper CCW.
The trigger break on the FNS is fantastic, a distinct snap like a Glock but a tiny bit smoother if anything. Instantly better.
I actually prefer the grip of the FNS because the stippling is deep and consistent enough to give it real grip, as opposed to a lot of the half-assed stippling on many polymers.
>>32626087
>The only issue I have with the gun is that the magazine release is stiff
Yeah, it took me a little while to figure out which was the comfiest way to quickly release.
>Maybe this is in my mind, but I think the sleeve on the extended 17 round magazine may slip / move a tiny bit
I noticed that too. Every single inch of the gun is fit tight and flush except for the damn extended mag adapter, but it's really an afterthought anyway. Not like I'm going to carry with the extended mag anyway, it's for the range.
>>32629144
Tempting. Not sure what the first thing I should get for it is.
>>32626087
How's that browning bdm??
>>32632970
Always loved the BDM, ever since I saw Seraph sporting double BDMs in Matrix Revolutions. I used it for my LTC class and got a perfect score, so it's definitely an accurate little gun. I never use the DA/SA mode and DAO mode switch though.
BTW I actually currently have the BDM up for sale on armslist if anyone is interested.
>>32631672
I know you meant Glock, but man seeing "block #" reminds me of the nomenclature for the GA MQ UAV platform.
>>32623994
You're getting me excited I haven't shot mine yet. Bought it about a week ago.
>>32633747
How do you buy a gun and not shoot it immediately. I could hardly get food between buying the gun and bringing it back to shoot it just because I hadn't eaten in like 18 hours.
>>32632229
I've owned 3 alien gear holsters. They work fine, but personally I prefer to spend more and buy something a little more low profile with better fit and finish.
Pic related but outdated.
>>32634509
>>32634509
Speaking of holsters, check out what just showed up at work!
>>32635290
That looks bulky as fuck from that angle. Is that IWB?
>>32635310
Nope ALS is OWB. It's the proper alternative to a SERPA holster.
>>32635310
I'm a big fan of crossbreed for IWB.
Apparently Comp-Tac has expanded their line to include FNS series too, fuck I need more moneys.
I'm around 6k rounds shot and probably 3k rounds of dry firing, the trigger on this gun is fucking silky smooth.
>>32637212
>3k rounds of dry firing
Dude, why?? Well, it's good to know drying firing won't damage my gun.
>>32638472
Because it's free accuracy improvement.
Yeah I use snap caps, but even without them it would not damage a striker gun.
