Rocked Converse Stealth sidezips in northeast Afghanistan. Daily foot patrols on gravel/dirt roads. Weekly 2000ft+ peak mount climbs/20k+ rucks through some pretty rugged and jagged shit. Had two pairs- one black, one desert. Each lasted about 3 months. My 1st Sargent and several faggots in my unit used to make fun of me for them calling them "moon boots" and say I looked like a tactical astronaut but I was the one laughing my ass off watching said faggots constantly twist and break their ankles with their "high speed" Merrels. I believe Reebok took the contract now for the design. Regardless, if you're looking for durable fast on/fast off boots with great ankle support you can haul ass in that are light and as comfy as clouds look no further..

>Converse Stealth sidezips
This is exactly the kind of boot im looking for.
I need something that can get me through the rainforest without breaking my ankles.

What's your fucking point bro? My unit let us order and wear whatever we want that felt most comfortable downrange. Obviously only issue shit from CIF was authorized in garrison so fuck off

I may look like a fuccboi going down trails in Timberlands, but they're way too comfy for me to care.
how do I pull of the "Shia"?
>>32623496
I knew it looked wrong; I knew it was wrong. All things considered I still felt the general level of grammar and punctuation was formal enough in comparison to what we normally see here so I was like "fuck it". I know, I failed to meet and exceed the standard therefore I will proceed to smoke myself i.e. I will step out for a cigarette before I decide to finally get ready for the gym and work in which I've decided the final solution of that dilemma to be:
Pull SV faggot manager aside and respectfully but assertively correct him on his transgressions and drive on. If he spergs out or puts a fucking target on my back, I'll just use my military bearing and unsaid sexual tension between myself and my area manager to my advantage to put some paperwork in his life.

Didnt know they had alot of trailes in NYC my dude

lowa makes good boot. i hear quality drop recently but i think still good boot
>>32621217
Do these boots count?
I think the Rocky S2V Special Ops Vented Military Boots are the best boots out there. The Vibram soles seem to wear down a bit quicker than desired, but they are comfy as fuck even in FL's unbearable heat, and honestly I don't even notice them throughout a day of hard labor. A bit of a bitch getting on and off (you gotta loosen the laces ALL the way down) but worth it from their comfyness and support. Even has padded inner ankle for rappelling down a heli speedline, or for spurs if you climb trees or powerpoles.
>>32623496
>How the fuck are you spelling Sergeant incorrectly then?
thus.
also good boot for mountain alps walking http://www.lowa.de/fr/produits/outdoor/trekking/details.html?Artikel=RANGER_III_GTX&ArtikelNr=210687_0997&L=3
not very good if ice htough, no metal spikes on these pair. good for summer hike/woodland tho
