Hey,
Im interested in buying an Le6920 new. Do you guys have any tricks to get a new one for cheap?
>>
>>32612980
Build your own. There's nothing really wrong with Colts, but they're overpriced.
>>
>http://gunwatcher.com/Search-best-price/le6920-for-sale
>>
>>32612980
Gunbroker, private sales, events (black friday, cyber monday, Colts anniversary, etc.), the internet.
>>
>>32612980
What are these selling for these days?
>>
>>32612984
I dont even own a vice. How easy is this? >>32612990
Thanks, this site looks great.
>>
>>32613002
1,100- 1,300 depending on the gun store you go to.
>>
>>32613017
very easy. Easier if you have a vice, but not difficult.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1omm6jY7Gg
I would build the lower using that guide and this kit: http://palmettostatearmory.com/moe-lower-build-kit-fde.html
and then buy a BCM upper depending on your tastes.
>>
>>32613030
Haha, mental.
>>
>>32613017
Easy, buy any harbor freight or pawnsho vise for <$50 and that's the only real tool you'll need.
>>
>>32613017
>How easy is this?
Assuming you don't need to attach the barrel, you don't need anything other than some wrenches to assemble an AR from scratch and if you get a pre-assembled upper with a BCG and CH you literally just pin it to your assembled lower and you're good to go.
>>
>>32613063
Im unfamiliar with these acronyms. Could you elaborate?
>>
>>32613085
AR = AR-pattern rifle; without further qualification, generally assumed to be an AR-15
BCG = Bolt carrier group
CH = Charging handle
>>
>>32613047
Ill use this information for sure and ill buy my upper from the site that guy provided above. I like the colt upper. I heard theyre very well built.
>>
>>32613094
Thank you
>>
>>32613098
well that's your decision. I'm sure it won't fail you, but it might be less accurate and have less accessories than a similarly priced one that isn't Colt.
>>
>>32613106
What is your suggestion for a budget minded accurate, reliable upper?
>>
Baby's first AR?
http://palmettostatearmory.com/
If you fuck it up you wont feel bad and it's cheap yet reliable.
>>
>>32612984

Not by much really. You can get a Colt OEM-1 for $750 shipped online. that's what? $100 more than a PSA build?
>>
>>32613123
I own 3 rifles . I take care of my investments. This is my first AR though.
>>
>>32613111
Anything by BCM

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/AR-15-16-Recce-Upper-Groups-Mid-Length-s/132.htm?searching=Y&sort=1&cat=132&show=300&page=1
a little more expensive, but free floated and with a better barrel. Most uppers will be reliable, and all will be accurate withe a good barrel.
>>
>>32612980
If you are insistent on buying a factory colt then get a 6720, you'll appreciate the lightweight barrel.
>>
>>32613152
This.

Government profile is stupid.
>>
>>32613141
These look great, I can see why you brought up more acessories now. Thanks
>>
>>32613171
np.

If you're going to buy BCMshit, buy this
>>
Alright im buying this upper,

And building this lower,http://palmettostatearmory.com/moe-lower-build-kit-fde.html

Thanks guys. Great thread.

>>32613209
Fuck, my link.
http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-BFH-16-Mid-Length-Upper-Receiver-light-weight-p/bcm-urg-mid-16lw%20bfh.htm
>>
>>32613224
That's not a lower, ya moron. That's a complete lower parts kit.

Do not buy government profile barrels.
>>
>>32613226
Lol same thing happened to me. Wouldnt i have to install gaurds?
>>
>>32613238
Why no government profile? And yeah oops
>>
>>32613254
because im an idiot and dont know wtf I'm talking about
>>
>>32613267
Well im sure if you do know what youre talking about it would be easy for you to elaborate.
>>
>>32613283
I assure you I am a fool
>>
Just buy the LE6920, everyone here is just gonna waste your time and tell you to build an AR15. If you're new all the choices for parts are going to be daunting unleas you have someone experienced choose them for you. Mines great, never skipped a beat, and eats steel case ammo like its going out of style.
>>
>>32613245
Yea, but it's easy unless you want a free float rail. Which is easy to do because you can either buy a rail clearanced for the front sight or you can remove the front sight and add a low profile gas block in its place.
>>32613254
Government profile is pointless It's identical to the light profile barrel except under and after the gas block, where the extra wall thickness does nothing. Actually could make it worse considering the pendulum like shape of the government profile
>>
>>32613347
This
https://www.tombstonetactical.com/catalog/colt/ar6720-lightweight-rifle-5.56mm-16in-20rd-black/

Here's a 6720 for 880 bucks, a good deal.
>>
>>32613347
my dti upper ate 120 rounds of steel cased within 2 minutes and never skipped a beat
HA
>>
>>32613254
Because they put Govt profile bbls on backwards, just like everything else the government does.
>>
>>32613399
Im sure it did. Its just easier for a noguns to buy preassembled than decide for himself what parts are good.
>>
>>32613017
I got an Irwin vice from Lowes for ~$30. Just get something serviceable and a magpul BEV block and you're good.
>>
>>32613106
There's nothing wrong with a Colt upper and it's not going to be less accurate than a BCM, fucking kek
>>
I got a 6920 from Cabela's.

They're rarely found online for $800 or under 1k in general.

Just buy one if you can find them.

Love mine, shoots steel cased ammo fine, no issues. Has a blem on the receiver which I wish I noticed so I could have picked a different one but oh well.
