alright guys, you've had a long fucking time to figure this out. Time to decide already. What is the best shape for a pistol grip?
Shape doesn't matter as much as the angle.

decide that too.
look at all these. they all use different grips. They should've decided which was best in the 50s and then put an identicle one on every rifle.

There is no objectively best grip shape, just like there is no objectively best handgunshape. Some people have hands that fit finger grooves perfectly, others can't stand them because they don't fit their hand size.
Though angle is a completely different story. Some people don't like the more vertical grips because they aren't used to them. That's fine, but they still reduce strain on wrist and are objectively better because of that.

for a Service rifle though that they're going to hand out stock to hundreds of thousands if not millions of people they can find the one that works best with the greatest number of hands.

different countries will have different "average" hands
although designing grips for "average" hands is a flawed practice that produces grips that fit nobody

B5/K2
doubters judge it on appearance and have never used one

Can't improve on perfection.
