/k/ I need help in finding a revolver for when I have money. It MUST be chambered in .357 Magnum. Barrel can be long, but not snub-nosed. No Old West-style revolvers. I'd rather have a more modern one. No Colts, because they are pretty expensive. Capacity isn't a big worry for me. Something like the one in the pic. I'm a gun nut, but most of you know more about guns than I do, so I'm asking you guys for suggestions.
>how much money
>no snubbie
>how long is too long like 3-6" would that be fine?
>no old west, you mean like SAA clones?
>No colts, okay
>Capacity is going to be pretty much 5-7 anyways
>I'm a gun nut but /k/ knows more than I do (this isn't a very high bar you're setting)
OK so what I've gathered from this is you want a Ruger GP100/SP 101 or a Smith and Whatever in .357
those are pretty much your only options can't go wrong with either honestly
>inb4 Taurus
you can I guess it wouldn't be my first pick.

This one looks pretty good. I like it. This'll be a good choice
just got a blued 6" GP100 and it's my new waifu
I want to get my first revolver a 686 Plus but I also want something in 44 magnum so I can have a pistol thats significantly more powerful than my 9mm.
What do?
The one in your picture is a Smith and Wesson 686. It's actually Smith and Wesson's most popular revolver--for good reason. It's a quality gun with an excellent trigger, and you won't be disappointed if you decide to get one.

10mm

Get a used Dan Wesson, then you can choose whatever barrel length you want and they are an extremely robust revolver. Also relatively cheap for what they are.

These look pretty good. Don't know hoe I haven't heard of this brand before.

Also, the 586 is the same thing, but in blued steel and wood grips.

Ever shot .357? No? Don't worry about .44 yet
Have, and think it's for pussies? Get an alloy frame .44 magnum
