Go look at camping stores and pick up a hiking pack that has what you want.

In future look for one of these threads so you dont clog up the board.

Jesus Christus. If you need /k/ to tell you what a civilian bag in a neutral color looks like, then you need some help.

>>32595095
Someone already fucked it up, here is not the place for advice.

Go ask /out/ or a better forum for a good, medium hiking pack and 3/5 times you'll be able to get that bag in a neutral color.
>>
>>32595409

how about you go fuck yourself, i am not looking for a civilian bag, I want molle attachment for my multitool and mags and edc inserts in the interior, which your shitty medium hiking pack doesn't have.

>>32595322
>>molle

Dude my fucking laptop bag had molle on it. That shit caught on in the civilian sector.

Civvie bags don't have molle. It adds unnecessary weight and production cost. Molle is also nearly impossible to hide so any bag you get wit it is going to be high profile.

Just get a hiking bag and build a belt rig for your dress up fantasies.

Literally anything sold in stores that doesn't look an autistic attempt at being "covert" and isn't covered in fucking molle webbing.

Side note has anyone ever actually seen one person with molle on a civvy pack have anything attached?

I was on a long train ride and a guy had a 3 day pack with like 8 MOLLE pouches on it and a back frame to make it a hiking pack.

Outside of hikers and campers I doubt normies even know what MOLLE is or care if there is MOLLE on something.

I venture you could mod a pack with pouches and nobody except former military or ktards could tell.

>complete horseshit, nobody is thinking about you when you're not in the room

Yep, it's a common cognitive bias to think otherwise though.

>The spotlight effect is the phenomenon in which people tend to believe they are being noticed more than they really are. Being that one is constantly in the center of one's own world, an accurate evaluation of how much one is noticed by others has shown to be uncommon. The spotlight effect was first reported in 1999, when Thomas Gilovich and Kenneth Savitsky coined the term.[1] The reasoning behind the spotlight effect comes from innate tendency to forget that although one is the center of one's own world, one is not the center of everyone else's.

As others have said, MOLLE is normal as fuck yesterday. Go to a normal store that sells backpacks and like half the shit there has MOLLE etc. I see normies wearing pseudo-tacticool Oakley bags on a daily basis.

The only things I'd truly avoid are tan/FDE and standard multicam. Both make you look like you just got off deployment. The same bags in black or in non-issue camo schemes are totally passable as normie bags, though. I have a Vanquest camera bag in Multicam Black and the only attention it's ever gotten was in the form of complements and people asking where they could get one like it. I've even been around some of my /k/ommando friends and they didn't realize it was a "tactical" bag until I said so.

>>

I thought the whole "gray man" thing was about not being singled out as somebody who's carrying on a daily basis in civilized life or in the first hours of an "incident."

If you're talking about some kind of ridiculous DayZ tier post-apocalyptic kill on sight level that's another story. However, I'd still use whatever gear was most functional for purpose and keep myself from being noticed at all. I don't think a Jansport bag is gonna stop somebody from blowing my head off when I've got an AR obviously slung over my shoulder.
>>
>>32597559
>If you're talking about some kind of ridiculous DayZ tier post-apocalyptic kill on sight level that's another story.
no, if society has degraded to that point, it'd be safer if you banded together with others and roved around the country in a Mad Max fashion.

No, it's just a counter thought for all the preppers who somehow thinks the moment society collapses or law enforcement is crippled/absent, that they'll walk out of their house in full battle gear and somehow not be targeted by others who might want some of the valuable loot he has all over his body. Same in a n occupation/invasion scenario that these people love. A handful of guys dressed in full battle rattle is not going to do much against a military. Organized groups with networks is what puts up some fight, and that involves trusting others, which is the anti-fantasy of all these lone wolf people.

- morale patches
- earth tone colors making up the majority of your clothing
- too much tacticool shit (gearqueer)

Just buy a Victorinox Altmont, you nigger. It has compartments to put all your fedora gear, it looks unsuspicious and stylish, and quality is ok for a civilian product. To go with it, wear some dark blue jeans, sport shoes, a light grey shirt (or white shirt plus black pull over), and you're pretty good to go.

If you were a soldier at a checkpoint I'd blow your head off with a nugget and run away keking in Vietnamese
>>
>>32594916
I don't fucking get this gray man concept, it's retarded if you ask me.

If SHTF it literally doesn't fucking matter how your pack looks like, doesn't matter if it's military gear queer l33t operator high speed low drag etc. bullshit or a simple hiking pack. It's fucking obvious you are prepared and that you have a bunch of useful stuff in that pack regardless of how it looks.

What's even the point of blending in? To avoid trouble? You won't avoid shit, people who are willing to rob others of their belongings in such a situation won't go after military-looking people who are clearly prepared and dangerous, that's not how it works.

They will go after people who look like they have useful stuff but are not dangerous and overly prepared, so exactly for the kind of people you are trying to pose as.

It's a retarded concept, you can't hide the fact that you are prepared and have a pack full of goodies. The only thing you can hide is the fact that you are able to defend yourself, but why would you? It's a deterrent.
>>
>>32598507
>If i were a soldier on a checkpoint, i'd frisk you based on the following indicators:

What bag you should get really depends on what is around you: match the majority of them. Around me Jansport backpacks are pretty nice and I would try to pass myself off as a high school/college student given campuses are flooded with them. They have a good price, are durable, can be surprisingly roomy/organised. Maybe you live in an area with a lot of muscle-heads so you might want to consider a sports-themed duffel. If you live in a corporate area maybe try for an understated messenger bag or generic looking backpack. You don't have to spend a lot of money to blend. If you are insistent about your bag being a tactical bag you might want to look at one of the Covert/Covrt model backpacks by 5.11 Tactical; video related.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_BpHvrqjf4

TL;DR: Just look at what other people around you have and find a way to make one of those bags work.

It isn't really for the average person. Some common LE jobs do require people to blend in and not seem suspicious though so you have to know how to dress for things like that. Normies trying to be the "Gray man" are often people that are either criminal, paranoid, or some mix of the two.

Unfortunately gangsters started the meme of guns being hidden in instrument cases, and movies like El Mariachi and Desperado only popularized it. Depending on where you live, normies may ask if you're carrying a gun in your case. Even if it's just a joke, the idea is already in their heads and I don't like that. Also consider people asking you about your instrument, or the fact that instruments can be just as valuable as guns and are thus a target for thieves.

I would think a hard-sided golf club case with foam installed inside would be better. "Do you play? Ahh, nah, they're my dad's. I'm taking them to him." Also no normie on Earth is ever gonna ask to see your clubs.

It's called a hiking bag. Try it some time.

You could the "Assault Backpack Laser Cut" from Coleman Surplus. About 30-40L, roughly in the same area as Jansport, and you won't look like a walking advertisement wearing it.

Again, if you don't feel like coughing up $40 dollars and some wait time for a delivery, you can always go to Walmart/Lowes for a hiking bag. Oh and uh, don't buy High Sierra, they're more cater to brand name than making sturdy quality stuff now.
