Show entire stock. Looks like it's in a cheap crapco shit stock
Aftermarket stock. Just shim it or something
The rear takedown latch is replaced with what I think is a socket cap screw, or maybe even a piece of hollow rod.

Well, you bought some fucking POS aftermarket stock with it, so you deserve all the fucky shit it's going to do to you.

That's why you save and buy quality.

What's quality then? How to find?

That's a choate folding stock, which is actually a decent stock design, just not on the SKS since it was originally deigned for something else, so it doesn't fit well.
Of course, I still think that it looks ugly as sin and would change it out immediately. Just list it for sale in the 70-80 dollar range and use that to buy a stock that is appropriate for the bayo. It usually goes for over 100 bucks.

disassemble and check if there's a spring under the trigger guard. Mine had a spring and it's used to apply tension to the receiver inside the stock so it won't wobble.

Yeah, you're missing the little lever that locks the top cover on the gun. It has a detent that slides into that machined out hole.

Read the sticky, google, don't buy the first thing you see. Browse, order if you have to. Inspect all firearms before you buy. Super simple stuff. See, you blew your whole wad on a bottom bitch sks. Now you're going to have to save up $400 again to get another, now you could have only saved an additional $100 from the $300 you paid for that shit and gotten a much much better rifle. Remember, there is no time limit to buy a gun, patience will save you from kicking yourself later. So, make the best of what you have and shim the stock so it doesn't wiggle.

Just browse around all the gun sites for a cheap pretty looking one. It isn't too hard to find matching stock/handguard sets.
