Just found this out today after doing a lot of NFA research and establishing a trust. Some of you might not be aware.

I talked to my local sheriff and ATF branch today to find out about the new fingerprinting procedure under 41F. Turns out we need to get the fingerprint cards directly from the ATF so it has their processing number on it. Apparently the normal FBI forms don't work without the number on them. I had my local ATF office send me 6 cards in the mail, so i should get those soon. Call your local ATF office and ask questions before you submit forms, I'm glad i did.

I took it out to ~500yds a few times. Ended up trading it out, like I do every precision 5.56 gun I buy after a 6-12 months. Always seems like a great idea at the time and then I get bored of watching it collect dust while I sling ammo through my 14.5.

BCM makes a damn good SS barrel though, was putting together sub-MOA groups from a bench rest with 77gr OTM. Pretty much matched the performance of this Rock Creek 18" SS MRP I had years ago.

You can see waves in the finish from where it was freehand polished by unskilled labor on a buffing wheel instead of flat-polished.

It isn't blued or parkerized, that's an enamel bake-on finish that isn't Cerakote (and thus shit).

Even with the bake-on finish you can see striations from where they didn't fully polish out the grind along the flats of the slide and in front of the "MSH" (I know it doesn't actually have a mainspring).

The beavertail isn't even remotely close to blended to the frame.

There are 4 different polish levels on 1 gun.
