Most people aren't that interested in coming up with a standard communications system for /k/ to use in the even of shtf for meeting up/coordinating. No official meeting points or caches have been set up. The only /k/ meeting point is arkadia, but I don't think there's an open invitation for everyone to go there and have a massive circle-jerk when shtf.

Most of us will probably end up going by the prepper standard of FRS channel 3 and all the checking in shit that goes along with that.

One thing I'd kind of like to do is hold HF roundtables, but then that requires personal info and people become uninterested.

I have no Idea where or what arkadia is, but the HF roundtable sounds like a great idea. If there was a way to maintain anonymity until shtf, I think it would be much smarter to have some sort of a network in your area so you don't have to operate alone.

Protip if trying to use Baofeng as a police scanner, 99% of agencies in the US use trunked frequencies that a Baofeng is not capable of receiving or transmitting on.

Its not as hard as they want you to think. Sats are essentially giant mirrors in the sky. They can null out your area of the world on their receive antennas but only if the bird is equipped with that. You can also deny conventional forces access to it by forcing them to either null a region out of causing the bird to 'flip'. Provided you can get access it is more dependable than the traditional comm net.
