I too am having a hard time being patient (the one year anniversary of me sending them my monies is in a few days) but as they have said, they would rather have delays and release a very good quality product instead of hurry up and release something with bugs. So I'm supporting their decision to do it right.
With SHOT show coming up that just means more delays though.

I'm not pissed that I can't own this. It's cool and all, and I love history and historical firearms (I currently have a hard-on for a trapdoor Springfield).

I enjoy everything else about not living in murderstan. Like not having to practice Islam in exchange for not having my head detached by a dull knife for a Youtube broadcast, or drawing the short straw on suicide-bomb Tuesday.

Not owning a cool historical firearm I will never shoot anyways is a pretty great tradeoff.

I got a 1937-stamped Kar98k with Wehrmacht crests and (albeit with one non-matching) serial numbers intact. So at least I got that going for me.

I'm also looking for a Luger P08. At least I can find ammo and shoot it.

I imagine it's not easy to find ammo for a gun a) in production for one year, b) out of production for better than 70 years, and c) shared ammo with no other firearms since that time save for a handful a prototypes and last-ditch weapons.

An StG44 is very low on the priority list.
