Let's get a boot thread going. GQ General is cool but boots is cool too. Current merrell wearer looking for something new. Their quality has decline a lot and noticeably. Anyone using anything different or cool?
>inb4 sandals
Op here, dick in mouth. Been looking at Vasque Juxt. Anyone got any good news
Red Wing Beckman's. Have two pairs, one dark one light and alternate.
Real bitch to break them in, over a month and they're starting to get real comfortable. Hope they last. Started taking them on ~5 mile hikes innawoods and while a bit heavy at first they do well.

I highly highly recommend salomon speedcross 4s if you want actual operator footwear or some good trail shoes. They're comfy as fuck and grip well on every surface. My merrel moabs are good but I notice not very fun to wear on concrete for extended periods
>>32565664
I got a pair of Northface hiking shoes. They're comfy and have goretex lining, which is basically all the check boxes necessary.
>>32566024
Speedcross are running shoes
>>32566076
Yes thank you. For running trails. Like I said
>>32565664
ozark trail they last one season or two and then you replace them. they are cheap and good.
Just used the lowa hunters on a decently long hike/snowshoe trip. Really comfy, warm, and good support. Zephyrs are nice as well for any moderate temperature; lighter and less support though.
Timberland Pros, because I just got into guns, gear, etc. and I already wore them before /k/.
I don't like those cheap fabric shoes that bend midway after one season. Went with Meindl, never looking back. Also personal choice for lots of SOF, marines, special police units in Europe.
Very durable, does not leak, just little wear after 4 years of use and profile wear also minimal. Also my picks for shtf or survival, mountaineering whatever.

what are you, a nigger?
>>32566175
Question about the Meindl boots, do they do international shipping? Or would I have to look into a 3rd party retailer?
>>32565664
BTK sneaker
BTR is a Russian army contractor
>>32565664
>>32566379
Well I am from Boston.
>>32565664
salomon >>> anything else in terms of comfort, quality and price point
>>32566379
No, a nigger would never wear timbs that ugly
>>32566175
are they resoleable? my Danner Rivots aren't and the sole's wearing slick after about 2.5 years. which is a problem when i climb on top of a greasy/wet jet.
Belleville's Tactical Research Khyber 2's in coyote brown.
Also got oakley SI boots so that i can run in those
HyTest greenstripe footrests or go home.
>>32566575
ugh, double nigger
>>32565686
I have a pair of them. Comfortable, grip well, good water resistance. I find them difficult to lace securely, like they come loose after a little while, but i have tiny baby feet, so your mileage may vary. I'd recommend.
>>32566591
A cobbler might be able to chop off the tread and glue a new one on. I had this done to my blackhawk warrior wears, lasted 2 more years before the midsole detached.
>>32565664
What socks do you guys like to wear with waterproof boots?
My merrells are awesome but when my feet start to sweat it kind of defeats the purpose of waterproofing.
>>32566779
That's what happens when your body moves..you sweat
>>32567108
No shit, smartass. I'm asking if there any kind of sweat wicking socks out there that can keep me from getting fucking frostbite because my feet are wet.
>>32566024
Im planning on getting a pair of those very soon. All I hear is great things about them
>>32565664
I switched to Oboz after Keen went to shit with Merrell. Oboz have virtually the same footbed dimensions as the good Keen's because my custom orthotics fit perfectly in them both (they were cut around Briggs II's). The new Moabs feel like they're made out of cardboard with nylon strung over them.
Vasque and Danners are also good picks. I have no experience with Solomon and hear they're going the same way as Keen with cheap outsourcing. The American Keen boots are the only things worth trying from that company (even the bulletproof leather Newports are shit now). There are a lot of good boot manufacturers like Red Wings but the cost jumps with the quality. I looked at Timberlands and Wolverines but they're pretty cheap too and have terrible footbeds.
I really miss Keen, those shoes were amazing 6 years ago. I have a 7 year old pair of those Newports that I kayak in. I had to get out and walk across an oyster bed in those carrying the boat and the soles don't even have a scratch on them.

You need the sock poking out of the top of the boot and in contact with the leg. It acts like a wick, sucking up the sweat and letting it boil off. It should look like a mid-shin stocking. I have used all kinds of socks at work and the key is contact with the leg.

They will they got one of the best soles on the planet because its wood hence why it took so long to break in
>>32567619
This nigga gets it
Any one have any experience with rebok boots?
Specifically these in pic
>>32567712
Forgot pic aparently
>>32567712
I bought a pair of Krios which were okay, but I switched back over to Belleville not too long after.
Garmont are my favorites, if you can get a pair of T8s.
>>32565664
>>32565664
Ditto on the merrell declining a lot. Had a pair for less than a year and they arw already cracking at the seams. Shouldve gone with vasque. The last pair i had from them lasted well over 4y
>>32567637
Any particular material?
Using Merrell Moab GoreTex as weekend and main hiking boots. Comfy as fuck.
not for poorfags. The best boots i ever owned!!. Got mud to my knees, hose them down etc.
>>32568046
put you're boot back on you're foot stinks
>>32567721
The fucking moon boots. Every autismo smelly kid in my unit had these and they look dumb as fuck.
