are these any good? can't believe stock glock sights are made of PLASTIC

Spring for tritium night sights.

what if I don't shoot at night?
I like the concept of the TFO sights, one being that I need my front sight to be a little further back to focus on it properly.
Problem is the fiber cracked at some point and it no longer shone like a beacon. Turns out you have to send the sight back to truglo to get it repaired/replaced, this wasn't possible for me because it was a grey inport into my country, not an issue for aomeone who bought it at a retailer or loves in the US.
In short, they're a good sight but if the fiber breaks you gotta send it in to get replaced.

Wait, I thought thr OP was for the TFO (tritiu/fibre optic) sights, if not then disregard.

Well ... how do i tell you ...

Some polymers are as strong as steel.

You would in home defense

Cool concept but like the other anon said they can be a bit fragile. I'd recommend tritium sights for a carry/HD gun and normal FO for range/competition guns.
>>32565218
really, you can't believe it? it is just completely outside the realm of possibility that piece of shit glocks have piece of shit plastic sights?

I bet you think ceramics are mud, too.
Materials science is awesome.

High five for Science and Engineering!

They're not bad but ultimately no Glock is complete without these.

Had a set of TFO's. Front tube fell out on a 9mm. Would not recommend. Go for meprolight or trijicon.

Try YouTube re "how to replace your fiber optic front sight". Hint: it involves heat!

Lol no larry.
Just cough up the dosh for Trijicons. I have both HD night sights and the Bright and Tough night sights. The HD are worth the extra 20-30.

why is he sleeping?
>>32565422
What if I told you many guns have the ability to mount lights.
They're ok but the fiber optics aren't going to help you much in the dark. Their tritiums are only about $15 cheaper than Trijicons.

did his SAR fall apart?
>>32565987
Too late for that, already tried replacing it long ago, wrecked the tritium vial, now I just use fiber optic in the front sight.

TFX sights, tritium and fiber in one.
The TFO sights kind of suck... the fiber needs to be open on the sides to really gather light since the sun is rarely ever directly overhead, and they are pretty crap for moderate light applications because there is no surrounding dot that is more reflective (solved with the new TFX ones), and the night performance is crap compared to even 5 year old trijicon sites... So you might as well just buy the ameriglo I-dot pro because they are better in all conditions...
