Have =/= use unfortunately. For me the bayonett was just additional weight we never used except for inspection. But then again its just a pointy pointy,stabby stabby affair when everything else already is out of hand.

Having a pointy bit on the end of your rifle is handy as an option when the locals that are mostly unarmed, mass and press forward.
The great blanket riot Barakhaba 1993, is a case in point.
