Why don't any rifles or shotguns have a Glock Safe Action™ style trigger? Wouldn't it let people ready the weapon much faster?
>>
>>32553471
You don't have to pull it out from a holster, no need for it. You are also better off with an actual safety with a rifle. Snagging on your jacket is not a problem with a rifle.
>>
Because despite its name, it isn't actually safe?
>>
Walking through brush, crawling, etc is eventually going to get something in your trigger guard, which the trigger safety doesn't guard against.

Yes

Retard

Lets make the gun unsafe by removing the intuitive safety and then adding a trigger on the trigger that does nothing to increase safety.
It also wouldn't make it any faster. Maybe for an AK, but again, it wouldnt be safe at all to be dragging a rifle around without a safety engaged.
That being said I carried my M4 in afghan with the safety off on several occasions cause my gear flipped the safety off.
>>32553724
No
Those triggers don't make the gun any safer. It's just false security for those that don't know how to use their gun.
>>
>>32553724
>so many people are shot by their own glocks that there's an injury named after the gun

>"It's totally safe, gais!"
>>
Do correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think Savage has something of the kind on their rifles, but I think that's in addition to the regular safety.
>>
>>32553766
>Those triggers don't make the gun any safer.
It's just a drop safety.
>>
>>32553820
Yes, it was posted already here >>32553752
>>
>>32553884
Sorry about that, looks like you go blind in the eyes first.

Incidentally, have you tried it any? I'm toying with the idea of buying a 110BA, but I read something about the trigger being a bit wonky with gloves, which is a bit suck if it's true.
>>
>>32553766
Ifak did that to me a few times in turret
>>
>>32554367
Not him but the one who posted the first picture of it, but I have fired a couple rifles with it and I've always felt it was a bit weird. It's similar to the Glocks trigger but it has less resistance and is really thin and long, I thought the safety lever felt a bit unpleasant. However the trigger pull itself was quite crisp and light, closer to my 1911 than any of my hunting rifles, so I'm really unsure how to feel about the accutrigger
>>
>>32554367

I have an 111 and it's fucking awesome. Haven't shot it since it got cold so I couldn't tell you about the glove issue but for 450 bucks it's a solid bolt gun.
>>
>>32553471
>Wouldn't it let people ready the weapon much faster
If you arent able to activate your safety while bringing your gun in shooting position you have to train more...
>>
>>32554541
And the whole idea of a Glock trigger is that it doesn't need a lot of training or skill, so it seems like a plus to me.
>>
>>32554600
You mistaken
The reason glocks are easier to learn is the striker fire
Sa/da is not as easy to learn

At least we have one person on this thread that isn't a retard.
>>
>>32553471
Its shit.
>>
>>32554667
Being able to reliably and quickly disengage the safety takes training.
>>
>>32555116
The ability to reliably and quickly disengage the safety without any training is irresponsible.
>>
>>32555486
Well said. I understand how stupid it is now, feel free to let this thread slide.

the spectre submachine gun has a decocker and a da/sa trigger

I find it odd that this feature hasn't been used on more military firearms . Seems rather useful to have a better option than safe/fire , uzi has grip safety .
>>
>>32554424

Unless you plan on replacing the trigger you'll want the accutrigger. Savages without them have awful triggers.
>>
>>32554541
Depends on the gun. The safety on my t97 is in a terrible spot, so I don't ever use it. I just keep my fingers out of the trigger guard because I'm not retarded

I would like Glocks even more if they did not have the safe action.

I do not need a safety on my handgun.

Citing retards that do need safeties on their handguns is not an argument.
>>
>>32555764
What's wrong with a trigger safety like on the M&P? The two trigger Glock system sucks but that seems perfect.

What's the first prerequisite listed there?
>>
>>32556492
Kill the institution to oppress things that are perfectly legal?
>>
>>32556085
u wut m8? How could you possibly think that the m&p trigger safety is superior to glock's?

the m&p system is absolute garbage. that's why so many switch to the apex trigger, which has a glock-style trigger safety.

In my opinion, the trigger is the downfall of m&p pistols. Great guns otherwise.
>>
>>32553766
Navy here, body armor knocked my safety off while topside rover once or twice
>>
>>32556492
Bureaucratic nonsense that does not disqualify anything in my post.
>>
>>32553471
Because only having a trigger safety is inherently unsafe despite whatever glock told you
Other companies only followed because its cheaper, they could get away with it too, and people are stupid
>>
>>32555649
Well, its super rare and most people dont even know what it is
That being said, ive wanted one since goldeneye
>>
>>32553536
You're a retard and a pussy
>>
>>32557313

So what safety would you want on a pistol? Manual safeties are shit, so are you a grip safety fan?
>>
>>32553471
Shotgun and rifle triggers are generally much lighter than any normal pistol. Shotguns aren't considered drop safe either and don't sit in a holster; they get carried, slung, or stowed. You aren't expected to keep a shotgun loaded at all times with the hammer back.
>>
>>32553471
The holster is what prevents the gun from firing.
Do you carry your long guns in a holster at your waist a lot?
>>
>>32553536
nice
