How often does the Republic use its star destroyers to conduct planetary bombardments? The Republic's logistics system seemed to be uber broked when it came to aerial doctrine, with lots of battles happening with non-existent air support which makes you sort of wonder how they manage to ship clone battalions anywhere if they don't have escorts attached to their transportation?

One thing that always struck me as odd in general in Star Wars is the lack of dedicated planetary fighters. X/Y/Z wings and TIEs are all relatively slow when it comes to engagements in-atmosphere, which would make aerodynamic fighters capable of going mach speeds a good idea for major worlds like Coruscant where you need something that can absolutely BTFO any space fighter on its own turf.

The maximum speed in atmosphere is 1200km/ph for a TIE fighter which translates to Mach 10.

From what we saw in TCW, the Republic usually do have air support for battles. It's just that their air forces were most of the time grappling with the enemy's air forces in the atmosphere or space.

The Republic's logistic systems actually did look like they made sense in the show as well. They had the Acclamator-class Star Destroyers that would carry the troops and weapons and there would be the Venator-class Star Destroyers right next to them that would engage in the space battles and carry their aircraft since the Venator was part aircraft carrier.

This is bullshit. Part of why the Jedi are so dangerous in combat is they are CONSTANTLY using the force. They boost their speed and agility, they use it to predict their opponent's next strikes/shots, it is what makes them effective. The force does not take a warm up period or a meditation circle jerk to lift, crush, throw, pull, or shock the shit out of you. About the only time you may run into those issues are with younglings or brand spanking new padawans who are still learning how to do the basics.

The real answer as to why Jedi never just crush everything they're fighting or even just pin them to a wall is because it would be boring as shit.

Lorewise crushing your opponent's organs or choking them to death is a dark side skill, something most Jedi never really even dabbled in, Mace Windu however did and was one of the few totally open to doing such a thing when necessary.

Red sabers are because sith use artificially created focusing crystals. Sith tend to not have access to the places that naturally occurring crystals suitable for lightsaber use grow. Nothings canon anymore, but the Red Sabers of the Sith used to be because the crystals inside the sabers are Kybercrystal or something stupid like that, and it has a mind of its own, so it works as a conduit of the force, and for some reason it only works for Jedi and good people. So the Sith need to force it to work and that makes it red, sort of like bleeding. Thats why the new Space Jew ren's saber is all fucked up and goth cause the crystal is cracked and unstable, apparently cause he is soooo baaaad.

It also depends on which canon your looking at, old canon said that even though the master cloning techniques of the kaminoans were lost they could still effectively clone others. The Stormtroopers were made up of clones of various templates selected by the Emperor until the Empire's fall. Then they had to start recruiting from the public but only humans were allowed. The NuEmpire got BTFO once again and the NuNuEmpire out of desperation started recruiting anything they could get.
Oh and all the old clones from the Republic stayed on with the Empire until they died at the ripe old age of 35-40.
