They don't, they have bayonets in case SHTF really quickly but there's a QRF inside the palace with rounds ready if need be


And "Queen's Guard" is their charge rather than actual name. whatever Horse Guard/Foot Guard regiment at the time from the Household Division guarding Sovereign properties in tradition only more than anything else

They're fully expected to close with and kill the enemy with their Bayonets if required but as I said, they won't be letting off any bangy bumblebees
