You might be able to find someone that's doing FFL trading out of their house, most people who do that charge anywhere from $5-30.

In all my travels I've never run into a big sporting goods store that charged over $40.
>>32529384
My LGS does it for free if you spend $80 at their store. I thought that was pretty smart.

Fuck sakes. You people are getting ripped off. Cheapest one around here is $15, most are around $25. My LGS has it listed for $30, but I always buy at least $100 worth of ammo and cleaning supplies and shit, and they never charge me for it.
>never get into online gun buying because GIBS ME DAT 50 DOLLA FFL FEE.
>every gs i went had the same fee like they were all in on it.
>new gs opens 10 minutes away from home
>5 dollar FFL transfers
>send them a 1911 frame
>will definitely buy something from them later.
$15 here.
SE Wisconsin here, same problem. Handguns is usually around $25-50 and long guns $25. Had a Sheriffs Deputy down where I went to school in southern Illinois who did it for $10. Asked him why so cheap and he said he liked meeting gun owners around him and finger fucking all the cool shit people order. Nice guy.
I got a place that does $15 initial, and $5 for every other gun on that purchase. So if you buy 3 ar lowers it comes to $25 total.

When I retire I'd like to open a kitchen table FFL for this reason
>>32529384

>not being buddy buddy with your ffl and getting sick deals
Sorry bud.
So get your own FFL and charge your friends 20 bucks for transfers. You have to keep records for 20 years, little bit of a fee, but do-able.

ATF doesn't allow kitchen table FFLs anymore

https://www.atf.gov/firearms/apply-license
you can't do it for yourself, you have to maintain a business, but you can work out of your home, something like 40% of ffls are residential addresses.
