So it looks like the MSRP is $700. Is that worth a shit, /k/?
>700 doll hairs
>For a pony rollmark
I'd rather get a smith
>>32526712
Get a S&W.
If for no other reason than the fact that the cylinder release goes the correct way.
>>32526712
Or get a Ruger. I've got a 3" SP101 and a 5.5" Redhawk. Both are fucking tanks, and IMO are less flashy than the S&W's
S&W's are classic revolvers which look beautiful and perform great, like a midnight blue 1973 Plymouth Barracuda.
Rugers are well-built workhorses which take pretty much anything you feed them, like my ex-girlfriend.
>>32526896
This is me:>>32526834
You're not wrong; Rugers are workhorses, and I love their guns. I prefer S&W revolvers, but it's just preference between those two. Standard commercial Rugers are heavier in my experience, but that's minor.
I don't like Colt revolvers in general because they're overpriced for what they are, and again, because of the annoying cylinder release.
>>32526712
700 dollarydoos for a .38 special? Fuck no.
>>32527031
I really want to get an old-school Model 10 or 36 for concealed carry, those guns make me drool
>>32526712
>"The Cobra marks Colt's triumphant return to the double-action market"
>triumphant return
kek, they're already acting like they're going to sell like hotcakes.
>>32527059
But they are.
Because Colt fanboys are stupid.
The only reason I'll get a colt is to have a pony gun to go with my pony car.
>>32526896
As my father always said Ruger doesn't make the best of anything but it does make some pretty damn good guns that are reliable as hell at a damn good price point. Remington used to be much the same but they really let themselves go to shit.
>>32526712
If I can find one to look at in person to make sure there isn't a gap between the trigger guard and grip, like in that pic, and the gun is $75+ under MSRP, I may buy one.
>>32527100
They'll be going for $100 over MSRP.
Because of Colt fanboys.
>>32527069
>to go with my pony car.
Got a Ford Pinto, do ya?
>>32526896
Did someone say SP101?
>>32527111
Fuck no.
Mustang.
>>32526712
I'd buy a 6 inch barrel python with a stainless or nickel finish. Other than that, I'm uninterested in their revolver offerings.
>>32527136
gotcha
smith is love, smith is life
An MSRP of $700 means a street price of $600 or less once prices stabilize. For any all steel gun that comes with a front sight that's actually worth a damn, that's not too bad. The issue is
>Colt
I'd love if they could execute this new Cobra well, but I have serious doubts about their ability to do so.
I also wonder whether they will actually be making it in-house or if they will be contracting other people and then just putting their own brand on it at the end.
>>32527162
it's coming. you know it is. gotta cash in on that walking dead market
>>32527278
Not that guy but old Mustangs are cool as shit I don't care what you say
>>32526712
I just got the m&p bodyguard with a crimson trace laser and my gf's dad got it for me for $500. It looks way better too, fuck colt, there's a reason they lost their military contracts, because they overpriced shoddy quality.
>>32527543
Other side.
>>32526712
>Ruger LCR cost as much as Blue Label Glock
I need to get gun for female relative.
Their husband owns a glock 43 already.
Female is not new to guns.
Refuses my offer of a glock 43, to match magazines, parts and ammo in her house.
>still wants the hammerless DA revolver in .38 FUCKING EXTRA SPECIAL.
Fuck.
Maybe I can get her to like the little chiappa rhino, at least it's in a good round.
>>32527543
I'm happy you like your gun, but you know damn well that doesn't look better than the Colt.
>>32527895
I like the black better than stainless.
>>32527136
If it isn't a 70 fast back mustang or original mach 1 than its a shitstang.
>>32527543
I recently bought a Colt Series 70 and the quality is very good.
I like my charter arms, go ahead and hate.
>>32526712
why buy that when you can get a tuarus for half as much money
>>32526712
>Colt
Why would you want to buy a gun from an American made company that sold out to China?
I'll take Colts from before 2009
>>32527543
Coming from a smith fanboy that's owned both new and old production smiths and colts, that bodyguard is trash and its taurus level quality. Sell that shit and buy a 442 with a crimson trace if you want a laser. Also that gun is $350 brand new.
>>32528114
If they work they are great. I had one go out of time after 100 or so rounds. It started shaving the sides of the bullets because it wasn't even aligned with the OUTSIDE of the forcing cone. Fired it again, and got a squib stuck in the barrel. I unfucked it, told my local gunshop what the issue was and they still gave me a decent amount of a trade in on a new LCR.
>>32526712
I would rather pay 4X that and get a Python
what a piece of shit
>>32528114
What did you pay for it?
>>32527999
Trips are truth.
The Bullitt 390 is also good
Man its been a while since I've seen /k/ talk this much shit about a gun nobody has seen in person and which has no real info available.
Don't even think Kimbers revolver got it this bad.
>>32529991
I remember the Remington R51 shitstorm...
>>32527162
same here, fuck colt and fuck their shit little volver. Give me python or fuck back off into irrelevancy
>>32529991
K6S is a six shot .357 mag revolver released last year and weighing in at 23 oz
Colt, after gutting their revolver team years ago is trying to one up kimber with a 6 shot 38+p revolver that looks like a modified charter weighing in at 25oz
>>32528616
I have two charter arms and have never had that problem. Sorry that happened to ya bro. I also have a taurus 85 thats perfect and works like a swiss watch. So i guess im lucky.
>>32529161
I think i paid 290 or 300 for it new.
>>32526712
I'll keep my S&W pc637 and use the extra money for amno.
