Always hear people getting these single shot shotguns for under a hundred bucks. My question is, fucking where?
>>
>>32508623
Pawnshops, gunbroker, sales, the internet.
>>
>>32508623
Depends on where you live.
>Calfornia
Lol no
>Georgia
Every pawnshop and gunstore
>>
>>32508657
Ky

Never been in a pawnshop but my gun store didn't have any for cheap only new ones for like 150

dude I dont know where you work but 50$ difference is like what, 5hrs more of work? This thread will probably still be on /k/ 5 hrs from now. In that time you could have made 50$ and been buying that single barrel shot shit you wanted. Just sayin.
>>
>>32508623
I got one that was pretty beat up from a pawn shop for $85 a few years back. I refinished the stock and cold blued the barrel (I know, it's not ideal and didn't turn out perfect but I needed to remove the bluing to remove the rust) a while back and the thing looks great. I still need to find a weekend to touch up the receiver though
>>
>>32508794
For 150 it's silly because pumps are pretty much that cheap

It looks like a fun gun to have but hard to justify at 150
>>
>>32508858
Then buy a pump gun and cut it short.
>>
>>32508819
Cold bluing can be alright when it's done well. You need to get the metal mirror finish clean and then layer multiple coats of bluing. The only true limitation is that any small crevices will be hard to clean/blue.
>>
there's that hatfield one at wal-mart for $99 but i've heard the trigger pull is like 15lbs
just go to a gun show and make a project out of an old h&r
>>
They're lying. I've been stalking that market all over the south for years and you'll get 150 at best.
>>
>>32509780
This is what it seems like to me

>>32509478
I don't want a short gun
>>
>>32509780
Same in NE. Once in a blue moon there might be one on armslist, I think there is some ugly looking non H&R one up for $100 nearby, 4-5 months back some guy was selling a cerakoated one for like $150 for 2.
>>
>>32508623
Got mine for $90 at a pawnshop
>>
>>32508794
Five hours of menial labor just to win the praise of an anonymous poster on the internet. Sounds swell! :^D
>>
>>32508623
There's dozens of 16g pump actions in my area for $150 should I get my hands on one as a poorfag?
>>
Here in central PA they have to be basically new to go for $100. $75-$85 is more common for a beater.
>>
>>32509978
Nebraska fag here too, got an awesome H&R single shot 20 gauge for like $80 from this guy my dad knows
>>
pawnshops. Got mine for 65 bucks.
>>
>>32510579
I'm going to call a few pawnshops tomorrow
>>
>>32510888
You won't be disappointed, I'm a bit biased because she was my first but my Topper is my favorite gun
>>
>>32510238
>Poorfag
>16 gauge
just no

Anything other than 12ga/20ga is gonna rape you in ammo costs. 12 gauge out sells all other gauges combined, so it is the cheapest.
>>32510397
Meant northeast (NH). Would be nice to find one for $80, not many pawn shops here and then none have FFL's.

How is it in 20ga ? I've been nearly exclusively been looking for 12's since I got a few but if I find a cheap 20 I'd consider it.
>>
>>32509762
I've heard that simply by loosening a screw on the inside, the trigger weight drops dramatically.

>live in rural GA

Literally see these $75-125 at stores all the time. Shit, I even bought a Stevens pump action for $60 last year. Just had rust on it but works perfectly.
>>
>>32508623
>16 gauge break action single shot
>80$ marked down from 120$ because the safety is broken
>Safety on a break action, external hammer, single shot shotgun
>Necessary in any universe

I bought it because I put me over the free shipping limit, and saved me 30$, so the rifle actually cost 50$.

It was Norinco, and plastic butt and forestock, but shit worked.
>>
>>32510238
Go for it, but as another poster has mentioned, they're more expensive to feed in the long run. Mine came with five boxes of high brass shells because the pawn shop I found it at was trying to get rid of it since everyone hates on 16ga these days. I wouldn't get one if you plan on shooting buckshot or slugs too, all I ever see at stores and gun shops for 16ga is No. 4 and No. 6 birdshot. If it's a gun inbgood condition though, it will only appreciate in value, and 16ga is pretty comfy compared to 12ga.

Taurus 20 gauge single shot 85 bucks should I? Used
>>
>>32513408

Not a bad deal if you want a 20 gauge.

You can always get chamber inserts

>>
>>32513823
It was 90 with taxes offered him 70 but he wouldn't take it I'll sit on it a bit.

I really wanted a 12ga
>>
>>32513830
Then wait and buy a 12 guage, not worth saving like $40 to get a caliber you don't want.
>>
>>32512502
Quit being a chump, buy a second one and make an over and under you filthy inbred swamp trash. Ugh you get me so hard. FUCKING MAKE A BUBBA OVER AND UNDER OR I WONT LOVE YOU.

also be safe. ^_~
>>
>>32508623
I can never find them unless they're beat to shit for $140.
>>
>>32508642

auctions, antique shows, flea markets
>>
>>32508858
Single shot is really easy more fun than pump, honestly I even shoot it over our nice beneli, and it's some cheap Stevens
>>
I bought an H&R Pardner 12 gauge a couple years ago for about $100 from a pawnshop in Washington State.
They're out there.
>>
Got mine for 100 exactly and I live in the cucked state of MD. Took awhile though, I saw others but ppl wanted retarded prices for them.
>>
I picked up an HR Topper from 1973 at a pawn shop for $100. I'd rather have one of the old ones honestly, the Chinese make HR's now.
