I'm a Canadian gun owner, and I can tell you I basically don't know ANYONE who complies 100% with storage and mag limits. Everyone at my range has a "CC Piece" yet nobody would ever admit to carrying illegally. When they tried to create a long gun registry up here, the RCMP compared the number of SKSs imported and sold to those registered. It was about 20% compliance. The registry was scrapped after that.
