>last night have a dream that I own a compact glock
>pic related, green bottom & everything
>wake up wanting to buy one
What is happening? Have I been on some meme hate trend about glocks? Has my subconscious finally opened my eyes?

fyi I'm a fudd, I only own wood/metal & full metal guns.. I think polymer is shit. Why do I want a glock? Help me.
>>
Its your inner mall ninja trying to break free
>>
>>32494542
I don't like them for aesthetic reasons but even I can acknowledge they're solid guns.
>>
>>32494542
your opening your mind to new things. I used to hate glocks until I bought a 19 as a junk edc gun. I still have some things about them im not too fond off but I respect their place and their advantages. Now I own 3
>>

Sounds like a slippery slope, anon.
>>
>>32494542
they have features i dont like but glocks are perfectly good guns man

Classic "I bought a Glock 19" story kek
They're pretty good, which is why they're so popular with people who carry and shoot professionally my dude

I've got a 19 and a 43. They're okay guns but I prefer shooting HKs, they're easy to carry and handy.

They aren't the best to look at. Not like something with wood and age but honestly your carry gun is getting beat up by a holster anyway overtime and the clock delivers in terms of function. Its just a good gun for shooting. I don't see myself ever caring enough to see one reach 50 or 100.
>>
Whats the best place to get Glock 17 mags right now? I need 4 for competition.

Wish it was a gray frame but I still carry it whenever I leave the house. Love this gun. Sweated all over it and not a speck of rust.

It does bean me in the forehead every 100th round or so. Brass to the face but instead of it falling down from above, it ejects right into my forehead. Not sure why.
>>
Is it weird that I love glocks but I would only carry DA/SA chambered? Not that a glock isn't safe, but drawing a DA/SA gun makes me a lot more comfortable.
>>
>>32495097
You get used to it after awhile. Be disciplined and a good holster.
>>
>>32495122

I've just started carrying IWB, I'm trying to wean myself out of unchambered in my pocket. Do you take your glock out of your holster when you get home? Or just take off the belt and put it on later?
>>
>>32495132
Not him but I just remove the entire holster and put the gun (still holstered) in my sock drawer

If I lived with children or gun illiterate people I would unload it.
>>
>>32495161

Thanks senpai, I think I'll get a 17 or something for winter
>>
>>32495132
I take it out of the holster when I get home, drop mag, clear the chamber. Reinsert round in mag and place back in weaoon.
>>
>>32494542
I've had many products that I've said I'll never own and that I hate and end up getting anyways and I'm convinced it's because if you think about anything enough it makes you sorta want to get one if the negatives aren't absolutely dealbreaking. I got into aks this way and haven't looked back

Get off the 19 meme wagon and buy a 17 if you want 17 rounds of capacity and a longer grip

It was mine yes. Stupidly traded it for a S&W Bodyguard (no laser) because I wanted something a bit smaller (guy put cash on top). Big fuckin mistake. That thing was a piece of crap.

As far as the G42, it was nice yes. Shot all the reloads I fed it. I was on a 380 kick for a while & owned damn near all of them at some point. The G42, p238 & Mustang are the best you can buy hands down.

Bad habit, previously chambered rounds should go into a training ammo box. While setback serious enough to cause dangerous pressures takes many chamberings, it is better to CYA.

The Glock 43 is essentially the same size as the 26, except you sacrifice more rounds. Also, current Glock gen a shit

>Bad habit, previously chambered rounds should go into a training ammo box. While setback serious enough to cause dangerous pressures takes many chamberings, it is better to CYA.

You could periodically inspect your round pool for setback using the cheap but surprisingly good Harbor Freight digital calipers.

Everyone should own a digital caliper. I have Mitutoyo and Tesa for machinist use but the HF are about 20 bucks and checks the same against a gage block.
>>
>>32496087
>same size

It's way thinner which makes it way more convenient to carry. Big difference if you compare them.

The thing about the Bersas is that IMO they're way too heavy for a 380, which to me is the main advantage of a 380. Its hard to go wrong with a 12-15 ouncer carry pistol with a round that's almost as good as a 9 (in the real world it prob wouldn't matter).

That being said, I own a new Mustang too & its pretty great. Not sure about the older gen ones, but I think I read somewhere they improved the materials they used. I carry it most the time.
>>
I already have a USP, but OI only want one Glock. A Glock 31.

But maybe I'll want one for IWB, so maybe I'll get a 32. And maybe I'll want a large frame one, just to see what they're all about... Maybe a 20.

Fuck. Now I want 3 Glocks.

Im in the same boat. Every week when i buy ammo or cleaning supplies i go up to the counter and ask to hold a glock 19.

The only thing thats stops me is the price. Stock gen 4 is ~530-550$. Which is fucking absurd. And with my Blue label discount it, locally, it comes down to 480$, which is even more absurd. I swear glocks were 400$ brand new just 2 years ago. And eveytging online says blue label is supposed to cost 398-430$ but the local distributors are upcharging this shit. So after i see these ridiculous prices i return to a sane mind and say fuck glock for upcharging for the supposed "most common basic pistol in the world."

Yeah, the Firestorm is heavy as hell. But it's a lot gentler than the Mustang, that's for sure. This Mustang was my dads EDC. It was dirty as hell when I inherited it. You ever completely disassemble your Mustang? I tried disassembling mine and now every time I shoot it the safety automatically sets itself. So after almost every shot I have to thumb down the safety. I think I fudged up the sear spring placement or something. Also couldn't figure out how to remove the safety. I have no idea how to remove that crescent washer. As you can probably see in the picture I scratched the gun up trying to remove it. I gave up. Can't find any good videos online.

I was the same way. I thought the only good polymer pistol was the HK USP.

Owned a couple M92s, BHP, CZ's of sorts, a Pietta .357 SAA, and a bobcat with dreams of buying that HK USP45 tactical...

Then, I bought a Gen 4 G17 because it was $425.00 new with 4 mags....

Now I own...

G17, G19x2, G26, G21, G42, G43
a bobcat, a CZ75b, and the pietta SAA in .357

Sooooo... That's how that goes.

Always ready
Repeatable predictable trigger
Soft shooting across all makes/models
Not the smallest carry pieces, but much more accurate, fast, and pleasant to shoot.
Replacement parts are cheap, and everyone stocks them, not that you ever need them, but you know, they ARE there...
