21-30 Marine martial arts. It's a mix of a bunch of different shit, but then you also pick up other random combat shit on deployments.

So if you got beat up by a young dude you're just an idiot or a pussy. Or he already knew shit on his own. Either way, don't get into random fights with Marines. It's a dumb thing to do.

I lived with a Marine for 2 years, insanely intelligent guy, graduated university with high honors, but you get 3+ beers in the guy he turns into a totally different animal. Hair trigger for getting into fights every time we went out to the bars, not to mention when other marines were around they were the last people to ever fuck with.

Any remnant of pussiness has left their souls after deploying out of country. They have supreme overconfidence and will not go down easy. Thats why you got the beat

They may teach some punches, maybe a chokehold or two, but they certainly do not teach you how to stop a leg sweep takedown into a table, though...

Marine with black belt in MCMAP here, let me shed some truth:
The stuff they teach in MCMAP is worthless outside of defending yourself while holding a rifle and being weighed down by 60 pounds of gear. The reason Marines do well in fights is because during each MCMAP belt you spend many hours free-sparring with other people, and many of them did BJJ, boxing, MMA et cetera, and by the time you're a black belt in MCMAP you will have trained for like 100+ hours with many people of different disciplines who each will give you a bit of knowledge. It would be no different than your local university having an open fighting ring where people are free to fuck around, after many months those people will know how to do well in a fight even without any sort of instructor.

The dude could fucking fight. Not all marines can. I'm a MCMAP instructor and I'm not a very good fighter. The program is justified hazing. I got my ass beat and ran around with gear on for a few weeks and got an instructor tab.

I mean, I could probably tap out an untrained dude fairly easily but anyone with like actual martial arts or mma training is gonna beat my ass.

Marines are trained to kill, never pick a fight with the older Marine. He'll chop your throat or kick in your kneecap 90 degrees
