IL-2 sturmovik: '46 is a great game, but most of the modding community uses untrusted free file sharing websites as hosts so the chance of getting malware is higher than average. Places like SAS, Allaircraftsimulations, Mission4Today and whatnot ought to have a Nexusmods or ModDB page. There have been numerous reports on the forums from people who had to do a factory reset because some nasty viruses strangled their systems. It's a shame because I really fucking love IL-2.

I know that large mods are usually downloaded with a torrent client, and that's where I got HSFX 7.0. However my virus scanner throws a fit whenever I try to update Utorrent.
