Do SA/DA revolvers go into SA mode after the first shot is fired like a SA/DA auto gun, or are they DA through the whole cylinder unless you manually cock the hammer back?
On a semi auto it is the slide cycling that cocks the hammer for SA.
Revolvers have no slide so they are DA unless manually cocked

Is there a true DA/SA revolver that after every trigger pull but the first, the hammer is cocked back?

Pretty sure DA to SA revolvers aren't even a thing and if they are, it's probably some extremely obscure antique weapon that failed 2/10 times or some special snowflake custom made "Just cause" collectible.

makes sense thanks

But again, I doubt it even exists.

I'm sure somebody somewhere figured out a way.
But is there a reputable manufacturer making such a gun for the masses? No.

Found it - Webley Fosbery
Though it recocks the hammer on firing, the recoil assembly has to be cocked to align the cylinder before firing..
