The media played up the "warning shots" meme. In actuality she went and got the gun after the incident occured, returned to the home and shot a round off. They argued if she had time to leave the area she was no longer in danger.

There have been several other incidents in Florida where homeowners have shot through doors to kill someone outside and its been ruled justified.

Florida sucks in a lot of ways, but castle doctrine is not one of them.
