Sight radius, bro. Look it up. It's part of the reason why something like a snubnose revolver is extremely difficult to shoot accurately at distance despite the gun itself being mechanically capable of it.

So it just requires a larger dose of m-a-n when using it. I regularly ding water bottles and can's at ~50m with my 442 for giggles. It's not out of the realm of practice.
