Because they fought for gun rights during the 80's and 90's and despite this people have this notion that hk haves civilians

I hate this notion. Truth is Us import laws from the early 90's cucked them especially when combined with Germany's outrageously miserable export regs and laws.

Jesus Christ, you're so /pol/ that you've damn near gone full circle.
Despite their retarded government and flood of refugees, most Germans are still bros.

Back on track, does HE not have manufacturing operations in the US? It's hardly ideal, but what's stopping them from pulling a SIG Sauer and just building their American-market guns here? Seems like that would solve a lot of headaches in the long run, given Germany's autistic export regulations.
>>
>>32421833
>most Germans are still bros
AHAHAHAHA! Oh gee oh man.

Most Germans overwhelmingly support Merkel, and almost 100% of Germans hate even the idea of firearms. They love their little police state, and have enough Nazi guilt to last 100s of years. They will literally cry at the sight of a gun. I've seen it in person with foreign exchange students.

In fact 54% of Germans are not only satisfied with Merkel, but they are "very satisfied".

Germany is the most anti-American country in yurop. If you've ever been to Germany, they really hate America and American values.

Germany is liberal with mass immigration. That's why I don't feel bad if some terrorist drives a truck through a crowd or something. I could just as easily label New York, California, President Obama and therefore by proxy, America as being equally or even more liberal.

That doesn't mean that HK doesn't make good guns. I like that they never focused on civilian sales and the thought them deciding to hire Mr. Cohen as a CEO someday is my only worry about the company.

Please just stop.

>>32422128
No you couldn't label America as being liberal like California, because America is not California. Germany by contrast is homogenous in their views. Almost every single German harbors the same political disdain for American values and has the same programmed self-loathing.
>>
>>32421894
>>32421928
I have actually. Fuck, I dated one a while back. She was actually a crazy militaristic bitch who would've been very at home on /k/.
Germany has its fair share of neo-liberal SJW idiots like any country, including the US. The majority of the Germans I've met have been normal people, aside from the fact that they're really overly polite. Plus there's that weird cultural guilt they still have from the Nazis, but with the way the world came down on Germany after WWI I, it's hard to blame them. At least they didn't go full autist like the Japanese.

Also, Merkel's popular because it's perceived that she brought a lot of prosperity. She "made Germany great again", if you will, at least economically. It's a bit like how Reagan was a literal d
fudd and generally a dumbass, but he's loved because he happened to be in power when the economy was peaking and played it off well.

Massive countries full of millions of people are more complex than /pol/'s weird brand of collectovism would have you believe.

>No you couldn't label America as being liberal like California, because America is not California. Germany by contrast is homogenous in their views. Almost every single German harbors the same political disdain for American values and has the same programmed self-loathing.
America elected by a majority of votes and electors, President Obama, not once but twice. Therefore, America is a liberal shithole. No, I don't really believe that but I've also met a lot of Germans and they've been nice people. I've owned 4 Walthers, 7 Glocks, 2 Rugers, 3 S&W revolvers, that Colt, a Kimber, a Springfield, a Bersa and probably some others I can't think of. I've had some minor issue or another with literally every brand except HK.

I carry a P38 and don't need a bear gun here. Serves me perfectly well. If I ever feel like getting a pocket pistol, it'll probably be somthing weird like a Mauser 1914 or CZ 24. Yeah, I'm a hipster/autist. I don't care.

Honestly, there are almost no American guns that I particularly like. M1917 Enfield (which is German/British), M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, Winchester Model 70, A1-configured AR...that's really about it. Most of the guns I like are European, for one reason or another.

Maybe if I had real money I could get a custom Dan Wesson revolver or a Wildey Magnum
>>
>>32422939
>How is that P2000?
Short answer = good

I have the DA/SA trigger and it's mediocre. For $3.99 I got a Wolff 10lb hammer spring and I dry fired it (with snapcap) a shit ton of time before detail stripping it but and with the action filled with FLITZ polishing compound. That helped and the 10lb hammer spring has chewed through Tula, PPU, Magtech and remanufactured without a hiccup.

If I had it to do over again, I would get the LEM light trigger. There's 2 LEM triggers, the light and normal.

If you kind of want a Glock 19 but would rather have a hammer and more chamber support, the p2000 is probably a pretty good choice for you.

There are more then enough people in germany who dislike massimmigration, the European Union and everything Merkel stands for.
Let's wait till next year when the election shows that not all germans are cucked to the bone.

I love weapons, I like the majority of the american people and punched a russian in the face (Spätaussiedler) to months ago. I still consider the constitution of the United States of America as a rolemodel for my country. Unfortunatley, Germany has no democratic traditon at all and therefore hates true freedom. But I don't want to forsake Germany yet. Things usually get worse, before they get better. Hopefully we will embrace the AMERICAN way of patriotism in the future.

In case you don't know:

I'm not even talking about the 1994 AWB. I'm talking about the 1989 EO that banned the import of semi automatic "military style" rifles like the various FALs, HK91s, AKs, and some exotic things like the FAMAS under the 1968 GCA.

The ATF sent around a poll asking whether or not these rifles had a 'sport purpose' (something required under the GCA for the rifles to be importable) and basically every manufacturer except HK went "lol no".

The lighter springs can lead to issues returning to battery. This isn't an issue for range use(I used to own the VP9) but when you carry it this may be a concern if it gets really dirty. Of course this can easily be fixed by getting extra power springs. I enjoyed having the VP9 because it was a great gun to teach new people to shoot. The slide was easy to manipulate so any girl could do it as well as having very minimal buttons/controls for operation. The MAC videos may be misleading as he claims the tactical has an extra power spring but I wasn't able to find any weight difference between the two.

They really do make the best barrels. My LGS has a USP 9mm that was made in the early 90's (94 I believe based on date code), that has been a range gun since new. It has 50k+ rounds according to the owner, and the rifling looks brand fucking new. I compared the barrel to my then brand new USP 9mm, and couldn't tell a difference. Also, he said its on its second recoil spring, and has had a main spring replaced.

Incredible quality, and engineering.

What's your opinion on America muslim guy?

I think this is why non-vp hk's don't have the best triggers. Springs are way stronger than needed if you maintain your gun or aren't in a battlefield trench or something.

True. I'm a german and germans look down a lot on america. They think americans are

stupid (don't know geography, religious, etc.)
racist (duh)
gun nuts with movie wild west shootouts all the time
imperialistic (basically at fault for everything wrong in the middle east and most of the rest of the world)
naked capitalists with wageslavery and shit
Oh, and voting Trump apparently means you're all absolutely bananas, but that should be expected.

That's just the general sentiment. For reasons unknown to me, this is both in the left and the right wing. Left wingers usually focus more on the capitalism and imperialism. Right wingers often think it's americans who "influence" germany to be the left wing cuckstate it is (much like americans blame the jews). Both decry american "aggression" against russia.
To be fair, the political establishment is mostly pro-NATO, and some right-wing platforms have a reasonable (favourable) view of american culture. I also think there might be some kind of bias with the america-haters being very vocal about their opinions.

Oh, and you have a very good reason HK doesn't like to sell guns to civilians: If the next Sandy Hook is done with an MP5, there will be public outcry in germany, some prosecutor will look extra hard into that one batch of guns that (illegally) ended up in Mexico through several stations and some bank will publically exclaim not to fund those evil gun makers any more... or something of the sort.

>stupid (don't know geography, religious, etc.)
I'm horrible at geography and languages. I don't know much European or even a lot of American history. I did study quite a bit of math and physics though because that's more interesting to me. What's the point of memorizing names and dates? Honestly, it means little to me. As for geography, I always thought it's weird how other countries know the individual states and stuff. I mean why?
>racist (duh)
Not really. I'm also not blind to statistics.
>gun nuts with movie wild west shootouts all the time
Germany and France have us beat for that stuff if you just look at the last 2 years.
>imperialistic (basically at fault for everything wrong in the middle east and most of the rest of the world)
It's funny because out founding documents and philosophy specifically prohibit imperialism and yet we like to do regime changes and set up puppet governments. I guess it's guilty as charged. Lots of people do not support this.
>naked capitalists with wage slavery and shit
Some people just aren't worth much. It's weird that people think they should be able to make a good living off of the most menial bottom feeding tasks. Get a better job. Can't? Then you aren't worth more anyway.
>Oh, and voting Trump apparently means you're all absolutely bananas, but that should be expected.
I love Trump. Trump supporters take him seriously but not literally. Anti-Trumpers take him literally but not seriously. I think Hillary supporters are absolutely insane and more often than not, completely stupid.

Other countries don't anything about geography, either.
