This happened over the span of 14 months. I highly recommend that poorfags get into trading. It takes a lot of patience and dealing with retards on armslist, but you can work out good deals. And it's not like you have to turn around and trade away the gun you get immediately, I'll probably trade the wasr as well.

It's really nice because it lets you try out and work with a lot of weapons for not a lot of money. And unlike rentals you actually get to spend time with your firearms and learn them.

Buy $300 17hmr with scope, ammo and extras
Trade for Turk capture Mauser
Trade that for rem 7600 .270 with Nikon scope
Trade that for RRA LAR15
Trade the Rock River for Sig 556 swat
Trade the sig for a DSA built STG-58 with original barrel

I bought ammo for the various guns in the trade line and shot them. My thought is that if I like it I will keep it. I did lose $120 on a PA 1-4 scope that went with the sig.
