So I own a machine shop mostly working with custom order autoparts for older Italian cars where you cant just go out and buy parts. I have the means to make it, but just would like some opinions.
Would Pol buy a reliable electric trigger bullpup AR lower?
>some plinking guns exist and I see no issue transplanting this idea into an AR platform. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/12/19/electronic-arms-1022-bullpup-electric-trigger/
Why does all this /pol/ inspired muh revolution firearm ideas keep getting posted here?

because I have not had coffee today

This has not been made to my knowledge. so I assume there has to be reasons
>>32398024
i dont really see the point, if its anything like airshit triggers it will be god awful
>>32398066
advantage of a shorter bullpup action without a soggy trigger? cough cough easy as switching out a chipboard for full auto cough cough
Also the trigger could feel however you want. Its literally a switch, there are a million and one variations that could be used.

>switching out a chipboard
mate, it's as simple as switching IN a 555 timer IC.
>>32398096
there ya go. My question is, why has no one done this.
>>32398066
There was a german attempt for the police of a plastic sock around a glock that used airshit internals to fire full auto. It has a shit delay and shit trigger.
stupid idea, run out of batteries or hit it to hard and its fucked. only a dumb fuck kid would ever think this is a good idea.

because its a hell of alot of work in r&d down the drain when the atf arbitrarily makes your product illegal 2 months after launch even though they said it was cool all through the development process
The firearm would need to be manually operated in order to have an electric trigger system OP
That's what the ATF has determined for electric firing mechanisms and it's why all electronically fired guns that can readily be bought are all bolt action rifles

> Sock on a Glock
Watch out, Dr. Seuss
>>32398024
>electric trigger
No, no, and no.
What I really want to see is a bullpup rifle that has the trigger mechanism designed by the G-man himself.

because the ATF will shoot your dog... As far as I know, the only electric trigger that made it to market was on some bolt action durr gun because the ATF realizes how easy it would be to convert to full auto... I still think hydraulic would be a better solution...

why can't we get more high quality engineers into firearms?
>>32398910
>>32398630
No
>>32398151
It has in other guns like the 10/22

Because they can make more money elsewhere, by several orders of magnitude.
>make innovative new firearm part thats 150% better than anything else
>patent and license it to any major oem
>make a couple million bux over 30 years
Vs
>make an innovative and new computer/smartphone part thats 150% better
>patent and license it to any major oem
>make a couple hundred million bux in 3 years
>>32398992
>no it hasn't
see? I can offer no proof to my claims too...
>>32399031
There have been multiple electronic trigger guns on the market and there are still semis for sale even now.
The ATF does not give a fuck if it is electronic as long as it only shoots once per trigger pull.
>>32398084
>advantage of a shorter bullpup action without a soggy trigger?
Because you don't need electronics for that.
This has no reason to be done, and it increases costs.
