Can someone explain how bullets and body trauma work? There doesn't seem to be much blood in the photos of the ambassador assassination, but I've also seen a video of a car thief getting shot and blood is literally gushing and bubbling from the wound and his mouth and nose.
>>32386148
Bubbling = air flow through the wound, i.e a lung shot. Because the temporary cavity expands momentarily as the bullet travels through and then constricts, there isnt a fuckhueg hole for blood to pour out of. Also, the human body isnt a meatbag filled with blood, it is a system of organs, arteries, veins etc all in a protective dermis, so its not going to just leak out like a punctured water balloon, it depends on shot placement and what major organs and/or circulation parts are affected; if you got shot in the shoulder, it wont bleed much. If you got shot in the inner thigh or the neck, it will bleed a fuckload, as there are major veins/arteries in those areas which will keep trying to pump blood through.
Furthermore, depending on the severity, depth and size of the wound, clotting will kick in fairly quickly, thus reducing bleeding.
>>32386148
Organs getting damaged bleed internally mostly
It's only surface arteries, veins and head hits, that bleed a lot externally
>>32386226
>>32386244
What about he blood pouring from the mouth and nose? That's what freaks me out the most.
Did he kill him on a TV stage?
>>32386517
The ambassador was making a filmed speech at an art gallery
The assassin knew about the event and used his police credentials to pretend to be part of the security detail. He even made his way behind him too look like a bodyguard as seen in this photograph. When the ambassador went to make his speech while the cameras were rolling, the assassin struck in order to get the most impact out of the political statement he was trying to make
>>32386579
forgot the photo
When your blood pressure drops and you go into hypovolemic shock (or you're just dead) there is often not a lot of blood at the scene. Bullet wounds often self-seal into slits, and as noted there's not a ton of pressure pushing the blood out. The roach assassin got a bunch of rounds center mass, so the Russian's heart was probably not pushing a lot of fluid by the time he hit the floor.

Not sounding like a smartass but bullet holes are relatively small. You usually dont get a hollywood style gushing wound unless you hit an artery or something.
Also, dead dude had several layers of clothing on to absorb a some of the leakage. Pics show shirt, suit vest and suit jacket. Old fuck like him would be wearing some sort of undershirt as well. It would take time for seepage to occur.

>>32387807
OP here. I was just curious why there wasn't a lot of blood. Not everything is a /pol/ conspiracy, you know.
>>32386148
There's not a lot of blood because the weapon used shot 9mm Luger. That caliber was designed in WWII and tends to barely penetrate into the tissue directly beneath the skin and will not penetrate bone. That is why the assassin had to discharge so many rounds. He also most likely had halo points designed for the military. Caliber makes a huge difference in pistol guns.
Is this the most A E S T H E T I C assassination to ever occur?
>>32386148
The guy was shot in the back and fell backwards. He's lying on top of the blood, and because these photos were taken only seconds after the shooting, the blood pool hasn't spread out from his body yet.

I know the one you're thinking of. That's an exit wound, in through the shoulder, and out through the neck. Thief was probably high on something which explains the heart beating for so long.
From what I've seen of the ambassador they were all in the chest and head, it only looks like one got through where his tie is sticking up and a button has popped off his vest. He was super dead super fast, so he ain't got time to bleed.

generally
>full metal jacket (ball) ammunition will pierce the skin, muscles, and bone. the round will cause the organs and tissue to move around and displace, thats called hydro static shock, this causes a temporary wound. the round then rip and tears everything in its path and then exists the body, the exit wound is typically bigger than the entrance wound. some rounds like the 5.56 and 5.45 tend to tumble so the wound path isnt as straight as like a high velocity .30 caliber bullet. typically the hydrostatic shock from a rifle is more devastating than a pistol bullet, and thus youre more likely to die from a rifle than a pistol.
>round enters, moves guts and shit out of the way very fast, round exits through a bigger exit wound, person dies from the shock and from massive blood loss. the down side of fmj ammunition is that the kinetic energy isnt fully dumped into the body. hollowpoint ammunition is designed to expand in tissue. the human body is mostly water and water cannot compress. so when a hollowpoint round enters the body, the fluids enter the cavity in the bullet which causes the lead and copper jacket to fold out. when the hollow point expands, it can slash and slice tissue and it also acts like a parachute and slows down the bullet, so all the kinetic energy is dumped into the target. hollowpoint ammunition greatly reduces the likelihood of over penetration, i.e the bullet going through the target.soft point ammunition works in a similar way, but its basically a fmj with the jacket taken off at the top so the lead deforms and slows down like a hollow point.

>>32391607
Just blood
when you get in a very high stress situation (getting shot for example) your blood vessels contract to try to keep all your blood in your body and re-rout it to the most vital organs like your heart and brain. it takes the blood away from your limbs, which is why your hands basically turn to clumsy flippers when youre in a very high stress situation. a lot of times if people get shot or cut on their limbs or areas away from their head and chest, they wont bleed at all for like 30 seconds to a minute, but afterwards they bleed like crazy once the vessels open back up. this is the same reason head wounds bleed so much. look up sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system reactions and what they can do to you body, its pretty fuckin wild

you can find transcripts, but the short version of it is, Russia's helping the Assad regime, Turkey has been helping the syrian rebels. Or more accurately, one of the syrian rebel groups, that place is a mess, with rebels, and ISIS - who are also fighting each other - Assad, pro-assad paramilitaries, plus influences from Iran, Hezbollah, the russians, the Kurds, and 101 other factions.
Assad's retaking Aleppo, mass slaughter of women and children, millions displaced, refugees everywhere. humanitarian disaster taking place right now.
Gunman blames the retaking of Aleppo on the Russians, therefore, killed the ambassador to make a statement.

well, you *can* compress it...
but not without serious fucking heavy industrial machinery. takes several thousand tonnes of pressure per square inch to compress water by about 1%
for all practical considerations, particularly when referring to liquids in a body, which is contained by soft, deformable fleshy structures, rather than industrial hardened steel, you cant compress water. (or other materials in their liquid states)
>>32394647
Fair enough, but there's a good chance nobody on /k/ has access to that serious a hydraulic press. Even if they did, 1% compression isn't much. Practically speaking, you can't compress water.

Sure the caliber of the bullet matters, and what it penetrates will dictate how much blood there is and its consistency.
The critical point here is that the ambassador is wearing a shirt, a vest, and a coat, which means it'll take a bit of time for the blood to soak through. This picture was taken just a few seconds after the shooting.
