What HD gun should I get for my granny?

>slightly too frail to pull the slide back on a glock and most long guns seem to be too heavy

Get that old bitch a Life Alert.
>>
Bumperoni

Any good suggestions? She seems interested in revolvers and I showed her a ruger LCR and she seemed intradasted
>>
>>32360576
How bout I get ur mum a life alert after I fug her face
>>
>>32360550
She's probably gonna limp wrist it whatever it is. Revolver in .38 special sounds like the way to go. Get her a light on it too.

kek, hope that old cunt dies while Jamal is steal ur nans tea cozy.
>>
>>32360622
this desu
>too weak to pull slide back
probably also 2weak to control recoil
so .38 revolverino with minimum 5" barrel for pointability and recoil reduction. light adds weight and functionality
>>
>>32360625
>>
>>32360646
>>32360622
That's what I was thinking as well. I mean she was eventually able to pull it back, it was her first time holding a firearm so maybe I'm underestimating her abilities. I showed her a mini glock too and she seemed to like it
>>
>>32360625

i triggered your mother's orgasm when i jammed my thumb up her ass while your dad watched from the corner, faggot

a synthetic stock 22mag pistol. something she feels comfortable with and can easily use. With extended magz tho. And rollerblades.
... I'm sorry; everyone else was making jokes, and I just wanted to feel like I was a part.

Seriously though 22mag youth sized pistol with extendoz. Two of them.... Because if she's elderly and timid she may want to hide both in separate places in the house for easy access.
My na once fell and the only phone was on the other side of the house. I'd rather have some more options than just the one.
>>
>>32360871
So what you're telling me is a 22 is a viable option for home defense?
>>
revolver

20ga side-by-side shotgun
>>
>>32360952
I've never had a .22 auto that didn't shit the bed after ~10 or so rounds in quick succession.
>>
>>32360952
That webm crashes my browser everytime.
If she can shoot something 18 times easily it's better than if she can shoot it twice in the same time and control; Yes.
Can most elderly women who have never shot before shoot a 9mm accurately with repititon? probably.
Can she do the same with a 22? You bet your ass.
Idk if you knew this anon; but bullets can kill.
>>
>>32360954
Gonna take her to the range on Monday and let her see what feels best. Also...I live in California so my options are shall we say...limited
>>
Fifty pounds of black powder and ten pounds of nails in a pressure cooker.

GRANDMA'S READY TO DIE TODAY, BOY. HOW ABOUT YOU?

.22 is now sounding like a pretty decent option
>>
>>32361002
>>
>>32361027
What it really comes down to is her physical abilities. Not to be like that but go with what someone can easily handle, manipulate and control. Maybe a bit of serious defensive shooting class'. Knowing to continue shooting if you feel like your life is in danger is something I have to explain constantly.
>>
>>32360952
It's better than nothing.

My grandma has a 10/22 with a steel lips 50 round mag, and an adjustable trigger set to about 2 lbs with no overtravel. I told her to just keep going till it's empty if she has to use it.

She gets doubles and triples when shooting it at the range because of her tremor and the light, short trigger pull.

She generally scores at least 20 hits out of the 50 round mag at the range when I tell her to dump the mag. Takes her like 10 seconds.

Nobody's gonna fuck with Machinegun Louise, even if she's just slinging .22lr.

She needed it all light as possible due to arthritis, so it's got one of these barrels
http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/barrel-parts/rifle-barrels/ruger-10-22-lr-barrels-prod13878.aspx

It's got a holomeme for a sight, and the cheap shit youth stock. Weighs under 4 lbs loaded.
>>
>>32361058
>>32361071

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna take her to the range for the first time and give her a crash course with all the crucial information about defensive shooting and gun ownership
>>
>>32360550
my nana carries a snub nose .357 mag. She just turned 86, her 75 year old sister carries a 4" smith and wesson in 357 mag.
>>
>>32361119
Hypervel hollowpoints only, mind. Accept no substitutes. And tell her to practice firing as quickly as she can. Each shit is one small buck shot. You want to give them the whole load until they turn around or fall down.
>>
>>32360622
>>32360646
if she can't pull back the slide she might be too weak to use a heavy double action trigger

maybe a glock .380 would be easier, if she can just barely get the slide back on a 9 the .380 should be doable

worst comes to worst maybe a beretta bobcat, don't need to use the slide to load it.
>>
>>32361150
or maybe the .380 sig320, holds 15+1 and shouldn't be too hard to run the slide
>>
>>32361119
reminds me of the nerdy arab kid who had something to prove when i said he was good for his brains not for his brawn.
>He weigh about 75lb and tried to kick me 230lbs in the side.
>i didnt want to beat him up because was my friend
>so i just palmed him hard in the forehead.

I was kind of screw though, if i kicked his ass i was a bully and an asshole and now half the shcool hates me. if i lost i was a pussy who got his ass whooped by the weakest kid in school.
>>
>>32361171
errr meant p250, not 320
>>
>>32361178
I actually saved the webm because I got in the situation too. Except the guy that tried to fight me wasn't that much smaller and he was just an amphetamine abusing bitch. Did the same kinds of moves and then tried to do a lunging jumping punch at me and I managed to clock him right in the face and that pretty much ended that

>>32361171

I live in cuckifornia so that is unfortunately impossible but 380 sounds like a great option

>>
>>32361178
Are you possibly also arab under 18 and on a weapons board where we casually post firearm and explosives information?
>>
>>32361235
if you go 380 make sure it's locked breech and not straight blowback, cause the blowback guns kick harder than 9mms
>>
>>32361290

So a P238?
>>
>>32361317
maybe but i personally wouldn't give my grandma a gun with a thumb safety

it's fine for someone who trains but if it's for grandma i want it to be something she can use more intuitively
>>
>>32361317
>>32361338
Glock 42 might be your best bet

38 special revolver. Doesn't have a slide to pull back, recoil isn't bad, isnt too heavy, and still a good cal to kill bad guys with.
>>
a .22 revolver could be a good option
