Is anyone familiar with Sellier&Bellot ammuniton?
I'm not sure but only eurofags may know them.
Furthermore, what should i pay attention to when choosing self defense ammo?

I bought a case of their 115gr 9mm back in 2014. Shot half of it, sold the other half to a co-worker with a handgun. Bought a bunch of their .45acp when I got a 1911. 0 malfunctions attributed to either caliber and it's not excessively dirty ammo. If I can find it for the right price I'll buy more.
If you're shopping defensive ammo, buy federal HSTs (124gr and +p if your carry gun eats it safely) or speer gold dots.

S&B is a big fucking NATO contractor
chances are that if you served you used some S&B

Good ammo
I've blown through 1000+ of their shotgun shells and never had a problem.
Here in Burgerland it's mostly cheap range ammo. I don't think I ever even seen hollow point S&B ammo here. Seems to be good stuff as far as range ammo goes. Shoots clean and doesn't jam.

I've shot about a dozen boxes total of 9mm and .40 hardball that I got from the local dealer where I took my CHL class. No problems at all.

excellent ammo, used 5 boxs in 9,some loads are a bit hotter than american counterparts if ir recall correctly in their 32 acp, and other more europe popular calibers...

This. I hunt with Herters slugs. Rest is range ammo.
/k/mandos say Herters is just S&B in a different box.

Canafag here. Got a case of 7.62x39 from them, pretty impressed. Each stripper clip was wrapped in plastic so storage is nbd

Cheap but very good ammo
shooting it for 1 year now
never had a problem with it

Dont use S&B .22 WMR in NAA pocket revolvers. the brass is too thin/pressures too high and it will bulge out the back of the case and jam up the action and can actually damage the part of the revolver that turns the Cylinder.
Past that, ive not had a single issue with S&B ammo, its pretty gud.

Only ever used S&B 7.62x54R for my nugget when I was out of other stuff (my range is non-magnetic ammo only, and sold S&B for $26 a box). Can't speak for its accuracy or reliability because it's a nugget and I was just starting to shoot.
All of the S&B ammo I put through my nugget came out with case-head bulges you could feel with your hand though. When I switched to PPU ammo the cases would have a little shiny ring but no bulge. My headspace is probably fucked but S&B brass is weaker, for whatever it's worth.
Just a few years ago it was known as
Sellor & Blowup. Enjoy all your kabooms.
