A rechambered Krag in .30-06 is either a handload only KB in waiting, or a rifle in desperate need of $400 worth of work to fix it (Krag barrels are hard to remove without cracking the receiver, so you pay a gunsmith, a new Criterion barrel is $200, but has to be installed and timed and finish reamed, then bolt needs a rebuild because it was fucked with th to make it grab .30-06, the gun needs a refinish because the barrel is in the white, and then you still end up with a relic that isn't original.
