Weapons that would've been awesome, if not for those damn meddling politicians!
>>32333603
The politicians knew. If it had been completed, then the Soviets would've invaded Seattle, and from there, the north-western US
>>32333609
How is this a bad thing?
MAD is a super stupid idea.
Firing steel at enemy's from space could have been so much fun.

Rest in Peace, Bannon

Tsar tank was sexy as fuck. I would totally drive it to work. I wish it would have worked better.

>SDI was meant to stop ICBMs
Please, Reagan knew it was only a matter of time til ETs invaded or the Space Nazis used their moon base as a launching pad for nukes.
Hopefully President Trump will bring it back. Keep illegal aliens out of our country, and off our planet!
>>32333625
never knew this was a thing. Neato!
>>32333603
I dunno. Goldwater-Nichols act is pretty good actually. The military needs someone to remind them about their fucking job instead of having petty infighting between them
>>32333644
Wild wild west lookin motherfucker.
>>32333603
What's that thing?
>>32333603
The F35
>>32334697
An early warning radar, if I recall correctly.

I want to believe the Illuminati or NWO has this floating ring of weapons satellites online along with others to fight space aliens and cause disasters with scalar superweapons or whatever.
>tfw just can't accept we poured our money into a bottomless pit.

>>32336698
how awesome would this actually have been? seems like it's nothing more than a glorified F-106.

But if they flew up through that gap over Mexico we'd never see them coming.
>>32336829
HOW DO WE SEE THE JIHADIS IF THEY ARE ALREADY FLYING INSIDE THE U.S.
>>32336804
It would've been pretty great for Canada, which has a huge need for long range bomber interception but little need for other capabilities.
>>32337128
Pretty sure even strategic bombers don't have that much range.
>>32335114
Been on the base actually pretty cool shit they got
>>32337491
This. Literally all we need is an amazing interdiction platform. We don't need mup da do didda all role bomb the brown people and live stream it to every drone on the planet plane. We have fuck all to bomb. We need to be able to stop Chink and Slav bombers coming over the arctic circle and that's literally it, anyone who thinks anything else is a sensationalist and thinks that Canada's addition in campaigns actually matters.
>>32337128
That would be, as they say, taking the long way home. Coming in from the west and/or east are already very roundabout compared to flying over the Arctic circle. To get bombers through that gap Russia would need to either fly over the Arctic anyways and then loop all the way around those radars, or take the longest route if all and go all the way south till it becomes north. The former is retarded exposed to both ground-based and naval interception from either ocean, and the later is simply impossible without mid-air refueling capabilities or bases in South America; neither of which Russia has.
>>32333603
It's a concrete pyramid.
What's so special about that giant shit?
>>32337578
Tbh these days multi-role capability is dead simple, especially if you're building big. There really isn't much effort involved in getting JDAM functionality, at least not compared to building an effective air-superiority platform.
>>32337630
It's a long-range early-warning radar set. So you tell me, what's great about 24/7 strategic early warning capability?
>awesome weapons killed by politicians
How about this sexy bitch right here

Goddamn I loved that game. This cutscene still gives me goosebumps http://youtu.be/iBWnGUimRBw
