Those pocket pistols that work by pulling the round backwards out of the magazine but didn't take off because they kept pulling the casing off the bullet and spilling the powder into the gun
>>
>>32327122

Your best bet is probably muzzle-loading. But if you must load from the breech, then use a falling-block action.
>>
>>32327257
So the bolt doesn't go straight back? Neat.
>>
>>32327289
Sounds like the gun was way too eager to separate bullets and casings.

That's obviously what the spinny-grooves in the bullet tube are for. By screwing the bullet in, it forms an airtight seal, which makes the cartridge fly faster, helping to facilitate fully automatic assault killing in non-stop warfare

the mk18 automatic grenade launcher used a pair of grooved rotors as a split breech. Grenade cartrdiges would be pulled along the belt between the rotors, and at the middle, the two rotors would envelop the round, forming the breech, and the grenade would be fired.

the mk18 had a hand crank to operate the mechanism, and it's fire rate depended on how fast you cranked it.

There was no bottom ejecting version either.
It was always front ejecting and the first pic was simply speculation with no info other than the picture.

Longer barrel length, but with a smaller profile. Basically, a bullpup pistol.

I'd imagine it's very unbalanced.

Complex as well.

Just a recommendation, stick your rolled up T-shirts in sections of large diameter(depends on the shirt but think like 3") pvc or abs tubing, and use it like brass, a casing for T-shirt cartridges.

The pic further up with the IBM keyboard is mine. As far as the balance, it is perfect, most all of the weight sits right on top of your hand. Pic related, it can stand up in its own. (Sorry for potato pic)

As for the complexity, it ain't. Regular rotating barrel pistol aside from the lifter and claw. Because it doesn't have a feed ramp, it doesn't care what kind of ammo you put in it as long as the case is the same. The XR45-S, which is what I have, can handle 45 super, and that is kind of insane for it being as small as it is.

Additionally, the cartridge is controlled for the entire cycle, the claws grab it from the magazine, the lifter pushes the cartridge up into the stiff extractor, which holds it in place until the slide goes forward and chambers it. At no point is the cartridge free to do what it wants. From my experience, the specific one I have is very reliable. Blazer brass is the cheapest around to practice with for me, and it doesn't give any problems, so no case separations for me yet. The XR9-S is known for being picky about ammo, and separating the case from the bullet because of the rearward yank from the claws, so a good crimp is necessary for it the 9. The 45 I shoot doesn't have that problem, so I'm either lucky or the 45 version doesn't have this problem. Main complaint I have for the 45 is no follower in the magazine gimmick. After I eject the mags, the spring can partially come out of the top. Not much of a problem, just annoying. Also no LRHO, but that wouldn't really help on a pistol that does half of the feeding on the rearward travel. Absolute worst thing was having to wait 5 months for parts after buying it used, and it was plain out missing parts, Bond Arms took as long as they possible could for 1 spring and two pins. The DAO trigger is very nice and smooth as well. Due to the shape with the trigger guard practically stopping at the muzzle, you can't even recognize it as a gun in my back pocket. (Sorry for book)
>>
>>32332146
I always wondered about these, I'm glad one of the models is pretty true to promise. Anyone know if they were ever planning a xr45-L?
>>
>>32327122

>>
>>32327473
Ha, watched an RO walking down the line checking for chamber flags and condition go past a beautiful bolt action when the light bulb went off and he went back and removed the mag tube ..
>>
>>32327853
If there's chamber leakage you push the bullet acceleration button faster to make it more go-deader. Also helps to blow up deer harder .

Boberg may have been planning on it, but in the end Boberg Arms was acquired by Bond Arms. I have no clue if Bond Arms is even planning on making anything other than the XR9-S. Bond Arms' customer service is about as bad as it could get from my experience. After those 5 months, I did get parts for the XR45-S, so maybe they are planning on the 45 as well. They also said they have fixed the ammo consumption problem on the XR9-S and added a follower, but I don't know how true that is.

Nope.
There were 2 variations.
The first was bottom ejecting, and has the ejection port clearly in the bottom in front of the magazine.
The 2nd model has a forward ejection system like the FS2000 and has no such port.
