Thinking of buying the Cold Steel Ti-Lite 6" Aluminum for EDC. Right decision?
The 6" is a bit big for EDC
4" is a lot better, and I carry it sometimes
Too big and with too poor a belly profile to be a good EDC, but the pocket catch opening is pretty great. AUS8A is okay at best. Wouldn't recommend one but you could do worse.

Yeah I considered the 4" but my pockets are about 10" long so it shouldn't be a problem

Aluminium version has the CTS XHP alloy blades, it's the zytel version you're thinking about

4" is great, the 6" looks like some sort of weird novelty item. Also, you will look like a lunatic with your giant "switchblade"
>>32311941
Right. But why would you ever even consider the 6" version? May as well carry a bowie.

>A fucking stiletto for an EDC knife
Get something with a belly that'd actually be useful for cutting shit.

You handled the 6"?
It's hard to grasp how...absurd the thing looks until you've handled it.
It'd be a good pig sticker or something.
I'd really handle a 6" before buying for EDC. If you're ok with that, then cool.

My 4" isn't actually too bad at cutting EDC stuff
Boxes, letters, rope and fruit, are all handled easily.
I agree that stilettos aren't best at cutting, but the Ti-Lites are so damn solid that you don't notice any real difference.

Why the hell did you give them the opportunity?
kys nao.
I have several Cold Steel knives that I rotate through EDC, including a 6in ti lite. It's obviously not meant as a utility knife so I only carry it when going out somewhere if I have to leave my gun in the car. Great intimidation factor though. The pocket deployment is hard to beat. Never had a problem carrying it in regular pants.

It was stored, legally, in a checked bag.
I get to my destination, it's gone. No notice no nothing.

Either carry a multitool or a fixed blade. Folding knives are useless.

Can confirm TSA are niggers, had this exact thing happen to me but with empty legally stored co2 cans for 11 year old me's paintball guns. I made a big scene and my dad argued with them for 90m and ended up getting them to mail them to our destination (arrived 2 days before end of our vacation) so yeah fuck 9/11 and the TSA it created. /blog

This. 6" is pretty big.
>inb4 dick jokes
When thinking about my own EDC I thought the 4" voyager large might be a little bit too much, I can't imagine having half a fucking foot as a folder. Shit is basically a flippable kabar in your pocket in terms of length.
YUGE
Read up on your state laws. Many ban "stilleto" or "daggers"; daggers being defined as having double-edged blades.
No excuse, now that each state has uploaded the entire law-code on the web.
