Could an EU-China alliance take on a US-Russia one in WW3?

What if the EU instituted the draft, increased military spending massively and let China use their airbases?

No. Espically considering we already have established bases around the EU, and the fact that most EU nations could give a fuck less about their militaries in the first place.

Even if the EU decided to jump ships with China the US would see a build up and put a stop to it real quick. Possibly even swaying some EU nations back to their side.

China is a bigger threat in this scenario.

>>
>>32317471
Not even that, since most of the world's countries won't even be able to reach the US in fighting condition. Best case scenario would be another Russian-Japanese war, but for most of the countries soldiers won't even get to leave their own little desert or jungle village.

Only Russia and the EU really have global reach, even China is questionable in this regard. And they don't have a chance against the US. It's pathetic really that a country that's practically invincible keeps losing one war after the other.
>>
>USA+Russia vs EU+China
So USA+Russia vs China and a couple of retards flailing sticks?

And I'd love to watch this go down, it sounds like it'd be some great banter. Just let us leave first.

Who knows, some of my Russian heritage may kick in and tell me to go join in the fight.
>>
>>32311447

Its not that. Its because Russia and China have been cooperating a lot in regards to trying to counter US dominance in the world. And the two countries back each other up in the UN. Like how china supports Russia in Crimea. Not to mention all the trade that goes on between the two. i really don't see why Russia would ever want to war with China.

Both support Iran, and Iran, Hezbollah, and Assad in the middle-east is opposed to israel and Saudi Arabia, americas allies. So in this way Russia and China are indirectly fighting a proxy cold-war against america in the middle-east.

I bet Russia is supporting all these far right groups in Europe. Russia is trying to tear up NATO and the EU. Supposedly was involved with getting trump elected. And you can bet is trying to get Turkey to leave NATO and join up with Russia.

Meanwhile China is building up a trade empire in Africa and in the process of getting around US dominated pacific shipping.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Belt,_One_Road

Russia and china won;t go to war because they are both high-fiving each other in their fights against America and western Europe. Both Russian and Chinese officials held parties when trump was elected

Man, that'd be one hell of a war...

a much more likely scenario would be Western Europe splitting into EU and anti-EU camps. And a trade war going on between the two.

Which would disrupt American economy really badly and sent America into an economic crisis. But not a civil war so much as a trade war within America as states take sides against each other.

All the while China and Russia are laughing as they become the worlds new leaders.
>>
With the end of TPP.

USA just went into a new phase of isolationism.
>>
>>32321586
>>32321631
*continued

I'd be concerned over a 'syria' event inside europe. If France takes the anti-EU side, the Europe is essentially divided into France and Germany teams. And It could be bad if a civil war happens in one European country (Greece seems the likely candidate) the other euros in their trade war would pick sides.

You know things are looking grim for Europe right now. I'd say there is a chance of a Franco-German murder-fuck-fest.

Russia and china would side with the anti-EU faction, and america would likely side with the pro-Eu faction. That could see relations between the UK and US deteriorate.Since Brexit would put the UK in the anti-EU camp.

At least immigration to Europe would stop and reverse.

China doesn't seem like it would even be that much of a threat if we hadn't elected puppet leader Obama and played appeasement with China for 10 years. Russia seems like all it wants is the old Russian territories back. France isn't going to go anti-EU any time soon ouside of dumb /pol/ memes that seriously don't get the French and how the 5th Republic is systematically set up to fuck fringe populists out of any chance to get into power. De Gaulle fucking hated nationalist/facist and communist populists both and rigged the game against them. Last time a fringe party made it to the last round of the presidential elections, Le Pen's daddy got stomped 82-18 by Chirac. Protest votes don't carry you in the french presidential elections - they will at best get you into the second-round runoff, at which point the protest voters will have sent their message and either leave or vote against you.

What the fuck is it with every Democratic system being designed to fuck populist votes?

>Populist system

Return to monarchy when?

Damn, a lot of /pol/ cuckery leaking in this thread

Why is everyone so pro Russia out of nowhere??

Because populism is a really fucking bad idea overall, and especially in the long run. Populist strategies are great for getting a load of dumb and/or angry people riled up to ride you into power. They're also completely poisonous to the politial process and good governance in the long run. The rule of thumb is simple - if you vote a populist into power, you will get one of or a combination of the following: A fraud, a tyrant and/or an incompetent. Incidentally, that's also the options sorted from least to most harmful for the nation.

Populism is how you get things like the Jacobin's Reign of Terror started. Or how you fuck over your nation the way Venezuela did with Chavez. Or how to literally get Hitler into power.

It just doesn't end well. Ever.

They didn't engage each other directly because of MAD. Meanwhile they had proxy conflicts all over the globe.

The US Navy is almost three times as big as the Russian and Chinese Navies combined. Nobody will ever be able to defeat the United States without defeating the US Navy. And the US Navy could take on every other nation on earth and win. Especially if Trump adds another 100 ships to the fleet.

About as well as the IJN could take on the US Navy in 1941. Incidentally, your psot is about as arogant and deluded as the Japs were back then.

My god are you full of shit. For one thing, the actual Japanese commanders never thought that the war could be won. Defeating the US was never seen as a realistic option. The objective was to do enough damage to make the US decide it wasn't worth it to meddle in Japanese affairs. What they didn't count on (despite Yamamoto's attempts to explain it to them) was that the US would take Pearl Harbor as a deep personal insult, and refuse to accept anything but unconditional surrender.

Furthermore, the Japanese lacked the ability to support their Navy. They ultimately lost the war because the US was an industrial powerhouse that could replace ships faster than the Japs could sink them. The Japanese had a decently large fleet, but without much in the way of native natural resources or industry, they couldn't maintain it. The US can, and we can expand our Navy even more during wartime. We also have a far greater fleet to begin with than they did. The US has 10 Supercarriers in service now, and once the two new Ford Class ships are completed we'll have 12. The Chinese have one aircraft carrier that they don't even have the aircraft to launch from, and the Russians have only one operational carrier, with poverty ramps. They're building a new one, but it will replace the current carrier so the overall fleet size will not change. As for the yurocucks, they have one CATOBAR carrier thanks to France, and three with poverty ramps. The Bongs are building two new carriers which they claim are supercarriers, but still have poverty ramps. Helicopter carriers don't count.

Even once the new Bong carriers are completed, the US will have 12 Supercarriers to a hypothetical yuro-russo-sinese alliance's 8 carriers, only one of which is actually a CATOBAR carrier. And unlike these other nations, the US has the capability to replace lost carriers.

I was really excited for this thread. I saw the title while I was doing my Arabic homework and even as I was conjugating fucking masDars and painstakingly working out plural forms it was in the back of my mind. I envisioned a scenario ten years down the line where you have a Europe that massively upped military spending and instituted a permanent standing army with an integrated command structure. The key variable in this whole war was Europe-could this united continent stand the first few months of war against Russia and the U.S. long enough to present a genuine second front, thus allowing China to mobilize its industrial base enough to begin driving back hostile advances? Would the U.S. maintain enough force South and West of Europe to provide a hail of cruise missiles and strike aircraft supporting an Eastern advance of T-90s and T-14s? How do Carrier groups in the Mediterranean and South China seas fare? IS the F-35 better than the Eurofighter and Rafael?

This thread could have been every silly /k/ discussion wrapped into one glorious orgy of military wankery, and instead you fuckers chose to shitpost about fucking race politics. Fuck this board, it's been an absolute shithole since the election. I'm going to bed.
