SBR pls

Also, what's the possibility of building an AK104 clone but having the trunnion in the back temp filled with something, basically like how pistol ARs have a certain tube

Or would that get my cat shot?

>>32304493
I believe if it's longer than 26" OAL, it's a rifle anyways. Also, it's impossible to convert a rifle to a pistol. Once a rifle receiver always a rifle receiver. Making it into a "pistol" is just manufacturing an SBR, even if it can no longer accept a stock. That's why when people make an Obrez they have to do it as an SBR or cut the receiver in half and reweld it to make a "virgin" receiver that can be used to make a pistol.
>>
>>32304664
This would be if I built it from parts, I'd just want to be able to hold onto it until the stamp cleared

If I was doing it from an SGL I'd just have a rifle waiting on a stamp, which isn't really an issue
>>
>>32304209

Anybody?
>>
>>32304716
1. Reloading
2. I used to but in reality learning how to do super oper8r reloads won't help you in real life, so I practice much less complicated reloads to be able to do those faster. You won't ruin your mags like that though

To the anon that won that plum 6x5

You're welcome famalam, I was hoping it wouldn't be found by a lot of people who knew what it was and I'm glad it went to someone here in this 7th century Germanic tapestry weaving forum who would truly appreciate it rather than some scrub on the AKfiles

NOW FINISH YOUR RIFLE SO I CAN SEE THE FINISHED PRODUCT!!!

>>32304716
Not sure if it has a proper name but of course people do it with bakes and plums, what do you think they're made from glass and balsa wood?
>>
>>32304688
I'm not sure how long it would be but if the OAL is over 26" but the barrel is less than 16" it's an SBR even if it doesn't have a stock. I think. You'd be better off getting the gunsmith to weld a 3" metal rod on the bottom of the FSB and chop that off when the stamp comes back than to make some custom fabricated stock blocking device.
>>
>>32304688
It would still be an SBR. Can't ever go from rifle chop it and claim it as a "pistol".
>>
>>32304768
Damn. It's a novel idea though if someone wants to try to plan it out

I'm gonna see what Trump does with NFA/Russia anyways before going for an an AK104 now so I've got some time

>>32304781

>>
>>32304716
I've heard it called the "spetsnaz reload" by multiple people with no source or reason whatsoever.

Whenever you reload like that it will always end up dinging your lower handguard. I have several AK-74M lower handguards and have owned various surplus Russian wood handguards and I've never had one with those dings. And some of those 74M handguards have really been through the wringer.

Been eying armslist in my area to see if someone bought one in pre election panic and is unloading it on the cheap. Is Arsenal worth the dosh? because I would rather just have the one gun then buy a Century import and have to tinker with it.

If you have a fresh never built into anything receiver you can build an AK pistol of whatever size you want as long as a stock is not readily attachable you are fine. Doesn't matter if it's an AK pistol with a 4" barrel and 46" oal or an AK pistol with a 46" barrel and 47" oal.

Yeah I bought my Arsenal SLR 104 for $750 right when 7n6 was banned. While I wouldn't say that an Arsenal isn't worth $1000+ if you are looking at it in a practical sense maybe an AR is a better option. But I would still nut up and spend a thousand on an AK before building an AR for the same price tag 10/10 times because that's just the kind of AK loving faggot I am.

My photo was dropped there to trigger you, my brother has the same rifle when 1500 rounds through it and not a single issue. The point is though that ARs ARE basic bitch. Yes I've shot nice ones, yes we have 3, but they are the least shot. Why? They are boring. The best shasty mcnasty Noveske/DaniellaDefense/Chris Costa sponge edition AR while may be accurate and light, has no soul. Maybe that's what you need in a basic bitch home defense weapon that your 12 year old girl cousin, mom and 85 year old cripple Grandpa can shoot reliably. And they are good at that. But it is still a Toyota Camry, a reliable yet soulless machine, no matter what special snowflake shit yours is. Either you are A1 master race or get fucked.

The problem with going with a rifle not made in a foreign factory to military spec is that you are taking a huge gamble. A WASR is worth it for the CHF barrel, only downside is you don't have dimples around the magwell, but that's just cosmetic. You can trust a WASR, but you can't trust US made rifles unless you don't plan to put more than 200 rounds on the thing.

I own one of Atlantic's polish parts kits build AKs. Bought it back when they were right at +/-$800. Built using foreign posts kit, obviously. Very well built and solid feeling, everything was nice and straight. If the ones they make now are at the same quality level, they should be good to go.

I've liked the dungeons so far. The cutscenes and everything just seem so lacking in polish. The pace of the dialogue and how the characters react is unnatural.
Spoilers if you haven't beaten up to chapter 5

I just faced off against the Titan for the first time and I could tell it was supposed to be this big epic dangerous event but it just left me feeling confused. I've had almost no control over the regalia up til now (started getting used to that mechanic though) but now suddenly I'm taking it off road? At the advice of this weird guy that I have no reason to trust and is almost definitely setting us up? The Titan raises up and Noctis and Co. dont even seem surprised.
>running down the path trying to get out of the fiery sinkhole
>noctis complains about all this endless walking
Even though we've only walked like a fifth of a mile and have done much more than that previously in the game
>I can't move
>nothing is happening
>...
>gladio suddenly grabs my arm and starts yelling at me to stop complaining because I'm a king
>tells me to stop all my endless whining
Even though this is the first time noctis has audibly complained this chapter.

Shit like that. It's all so jarring and sloppy that it doesn't get me into it. It could be so much better with some polish.

in the japanese dub he's much less of a crybaby. in general, all of the characters are more likeable. the english subs are trash, 4kids-tier

noctis has a lot of whining dialogue, and you're still pretty early in the game. prompto whines quite a bit too. you're probably desensitized to it from XIII

if you've ever played or heard of Tales of the Abyss, they're eerily similar in story. Noctis is a 1:1 copy of Luke.

get ready for the camera to freak out in upcoming boss fights. imagine neo v. smith fighting in the rain in the third matrix movie. it will look like that.

Nah she's my best friend, if I wasn't in it to win it I wouldn't have even dated her in the first place. We were both weird virgins until we met and even to this day 10 years later every single night is like a fun sleepover with a best friend

Marriage isn't for everyone and a lot of people rush into it, and when you and your spouse know that you know that you know that you're going to be with this person and have the commitment to each other needed to keep a lasting marriage it's a very rewarding thing.

>>32313011
See I've been wanting to buy the remastered versions but I hate buying the same game when the PS3 version is good enough. Maybe when it's on sale on steam or something. I've never gotten into figs (thank God because if I did bye bye money) but I've had my cart full of VC girls just waiting for me to click checkout on more than a dozen occasions. A lot of my friends are super into cosplaying and do so multiple times a year at different events and every time I've gone (maybe four or so) I've always cosplayed as Char Aznable (because Gundam is the source of all of my weeb interests), but I've wanted to get a generic Gallian uniform to go as for a while now. They're just so cool looking and they're obscure enough that people won't really know what you are unless they know the game and then they'd be super excited to see a VC cosplay. It'll probably never happen though because I just don't have time for it anymore

Also Selvaria is best girl, not because of her chest but because she's a genuinely cool and interesting character.

I don't wear my Welkin cosplay much anyway; I live in Texas, con season is in the summer, and Texas summers + Euro winter-style uniform do not mix.

At the end of the day, I'm holding out hope they'll come around because I think they're better people than this, but for context, that was enough to cut ties with me, while they're still friends with this FTM piece of shit who basically in their face and blew off their gender identity when they came out of the closet.

They're "in fear for their lives" but they chose to stay friends with that fucker over of the guy who has a small arsenal in his bedroom and has offered to teach them to use it on multiple occasions. Like, yeah, alright, whenever the RWDS you're so worried about come around, I hope that 300 lb raging mass of FTM insecurity who stands you up every time he offers to hang out is somehow more effective at protecting you than the guy who carries a gun everywhere he goes. However we all know that while a Toyota Corolla is a great car and will get you to work, it does not make you feel the same way you do when you drive a 1969 Camaro. Yes, FEEL you dense faggot, you aren't a robot. An AK FEELS like what we think of when we think of heavy machinery, big parts that go kerchunk and are loud and obnoxious. This is something that someone who's not teeming with millennial levels of estrogen will appreciate, ie (YOU). I don't need to give you a coherent argument why I like black clothes and silver cars, like you don't need to give me a coherent argument why you like blacked porn. Its subjective.

AES-10Bs are Century builds on Romanian parts kits, if memory serves. At $975, it's an ok price given what they go for on Gunbroker, but I'd seriously reconsider, doubly so since I heard a rumor that Molot might start making VEPRs with the proper barrel length and parts for an RPK (though you'll likely end up missing out on the cleaning rod and bayonet lug in that case).

I'll try buy 1v's in 2 more calibers if they ever do import 762/545 models.

Depends on the market status. For a long time it was Circle 10s, but these days it may very well be Russian plums.

>>32314479
He also got some stuff flat out wrong. He mentioned that the Russians jumped straight to bakelite for the AK-74, but that's not entirely correct. Both are very good, high end ak rifles, you can't go wrong with either. I don't own a Vepr, but I did message to get one of DAs DAKM rifles when they got back in stock on Atlantic. It's the straightest, smoothest AK I've ever fingered, Chris and his small group at DA really does a great job with QC. Just Google definitive arms or Vepr and read what others have to say about them in forums. Nothing but positive reviews, cept maybe price since they are high lol.

/k/, why are AK's so expensive in the US? Everywhere i go i see AK's for like at least $700, but i see good quality AR's for around $500-$600.
Pls explain
>>
>>32316028
Chimps, are you interested in a SADF battle jacket?
>>
>>32316323
Domestic AK production is difficult because it's hard to just make an AK with a CNC machine like you can with an AR, and a lot of the original design specs are not well-documented, leading to a lot of R&D trial and error on things like hardness and materials. Additionally, there's a very severe import shortage due to Chinese/Russian AKs being largely banned from import (VEPRs being the sole exception, but they're RPK-based), parts kits drying up, the Romanians ceasing civilian rifle production to focus on military contracts, and the Bulgarians pushing all their imports through a single US distributor, which lets them set the prices.

At the moment, it's a seller's market for quality AKs because not enough of them are being made, but it's pretty damn easy to make ARs in comparison. Simple.
>>

Why AKs are expensive.png
13KB, 948x544px
>>32316323
Laws of supply and demand.

Currently, supply is low, due to importation bans and a very MEH-tier domestic production. Because of this, there is a bit of this, it causes what little AKs that make their way here more expensive.

On the opposite, ARs have a TON of domestic production, wit varying quality, giving a lot of range of options. As such, it drives prices down, which is why it's expensive to get a quality AK, while it is pretty cheap to get a quality AR. My own drawn graph shows this in very basic terms

There is also the deal with substitutes and etc, but that's another discussion
