Why are people willing to pay $1000+ for this outdated, obsolete, unreliable, low capacity gun?

Obviously the solution is to make it impossible for retards like him to fuck up. These people are why I can't shoot .22 LR out of a .22 magnum without the cases shitting the bed.

bait, my Colt series 70 1911 has never jammed on me or misfeed.
What's the reason a .45 colt in double stack didn't get more popular?
a 1911 is rugged equipment that will last a lifetime, so it makes sense if youre going to be spending so much time with it that you should get it performing flawlessly. So instead of buying high end parts and taking a to a gunsmith to be worked on it makes sense that you just buy top of the line from a manufacturer that makes 1911 to custom tolerances. Also the finish work on high end 1911's will be an immaculate mirror smooth finish with zero flaws or machine marks
its the only good looking pistol

OK I'll bite. It feels good in your hand and once you run out you've still got a heavy object to bludgeon people
