Can I take ammo to a Fedex hub and send it from there? The thing is I've heard varying things online about Fedex being anal about shipping ammo and wanting to tack on surcharges and shit despite that not being company policy, while UPS usually doesn't have those problems. But UPS wants to charge me about $10 more and it's a little farther than the Fedex.

I used the backsaw for the two cuts to form the sides of the tail, then used a coping saw to cut out the bottom of the tail. To make room for the coping saw I drilled a hole near the bottom cut line, and made a third cut to reach the hole. This photo does a better job of explaining it.

Those dovetails are beautiful especially for a first try. I hope I didn't offend. Using some shavings from a miter, table or even electric saw can increase the strength of a glued joint that isn't a perfectly tight joint. I was planning on doing that originally, but I don't have a coping saw or literally any tools but sandpaper, a knife, a saw, a drill, and some files, and for that I'd need probably a coping saw, and a chisel to just thin out the spring.

I used osage orange for the knife, spine, spring, etc, and black walnut for the scales, one is heartwood one is softwood. I cut all the wood myself and split all the wood myself of my own property and let dry for a year.

If I had had the foresight it would have been hand written in calligraphy, but it was getting late to send things and I'm out of ink.

Used microsoft word and some default handscript font. Used a bit of water before the dye process to help bleed the ink a bit to give it a more realistic look. Worked in some spots and not in others.
