Is it safe to fire my RAS47 without the muzzle brake?

>pic unrelated
>>

Yes, but why?
>>
>>32280740
It was loose when I bought it but it won't tighten all the way to the catch pin
>>
>>32280750
Welcome to AK pattern rifle, tovarisch. Even if yours is a pale imitation
>>
>>32280750
They're loose by design. Rifle is fine
>>
>>32280694
Its safe to fire any AK without a muzzle brake

its unsafe to fire any AK with a cast front trunnion
>>
>>32280750
Is it the standard slant brake? I've seen the Tapco A1 birdcages that are tapped too small to thread all the way to the pin but haven't seen any problems with the American slant brakes yet
>>
>>32280785
Is this just a meme?
>>
>>32280879
No, forged internals are standard in other countries for a reason.
The cast trunnions shear and break. It can get pretty catastrophic and fire out of battery
>>
>>32280894
Well I don't plan on shitting out 500 rounds at once any time soon
>>
>>32280694
the question you should ask is "Is it safe to fire my RAS47?"
>>
>>32280879
There have been more than a few documented cases of cast front trunnions failing, but your mileage might vary
>>
>>32280902
If that's what you want to tell yourself, it's really a ticking time bomb. You don't need to put out a high volume of fire for it to fail

It survived a 5000 rounds test by AKOU. Sure it looked like shit, but it still managed to do it. That's more than can be said for DDI.
>>
>>32282657
I honestly dont get it, all that was wrong was the extractor broke, buy a new one and it would be fine?
>>
>>32282979
They got a new one. It lasted about as long as first. 500 rounds per ejector isn't exactly good.
>>
>>32280694
>Is it safe to fire my RAS47

No.

THEN GET A DIFFERENT EXTRACTOR wtf all that proves is that DDI makes shitty extractors, thats hardly a fucking safety hazard or a major fault in the rifle itself.
>>
It's not supposed to be tight against the FSB
Just turn it all the way, then turn it back to the notch
>>
>>32286110
your gun not lasting more than 500 rounds and not even being able to supply good parts is a pretty big fault

How would you like it if you drew your carry piece and after the first shot, it jammed and you fucking died?
>>
>>32286831
new extractors are cheap, and the knowledge that you need them is free. problem solved. sure the ceo is a shitstain on the gun community, and I would rather build my own damn ak than pay him, but if all thats wrong with the gun is the extractor then I again refer you to >>32286110
>>
>>32286870
In all honesty, if you had prior knowledge of it, and you do nothing to remedy the situation, then you have absolutely nobody to blame but yourself.

A new extractor will not cause you to go into debt, and it's most definitely not the hardest part to replace in an AK.

If this guy is comparing your defensive carry piece being completely incapable of firing without you knowing about it to a rifle just having a shit part that'll work for a couple hundred rounds, fully knowing that you should replace it, then he probably has some kind of mental disorder
>>
>>32280750
It's supposed to wobble
