What are the rarest guns on the NFA registry? And what kind of NFA weapons have you fired yourself? Was the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986 a big deal back then? Do you know anything else interesting concerning the topic?

I'm fascinated by how you Americans can still own fully automatic funs and envious about your freedums. Please tell me something about this subject.

On the future if the registry remains closed there wont be any machineguns left because they would go to so high prices that only millonaires will have them.
>>
>>32268733
Don't own any but got permission to shoot the fallowing:

Select fire wasr10

Hk53 or 33 I'm not an hk buff I don't recall what model the carbine in 5.56x45 is. This thing was a Catholic. Very soft shooting and under fa fire you could group a man under a torso size easy.

A glock18. Was fun. Fast.

I've fired a full auto FAMAS.

Not in the US though.

>Rarest weapon on the registration

I don't know for sure. There's probably a few singlets on there, but there are six transferable miniguns on the registration.

In addition there are two AN-94s in civilian hands, SOT/Class III, both are series 0/1.

There are half decent substitutes for us poorfags. Bump fire stocks feel pretty close to the real thing.
>>
>>32268733
There are only two full-auto Browning Hi-Powers on the registry.
>>
>>32268850
Nitpicking, but there aren't any 18s on the register, only dealer samples.

I guess one of the reasons it will remain closed is because a reopening would make collectors lose thousands of dollars. Besides, the gubmint and the elites certainly don't want machine guns in private hands either. Too bad!

>>32268850

>This thing was a Catholic

Where I live a "catholic" gun is a gun that is unregistered. Did you mean to say that?

>>32268872

Have you been in the French armed forces? Nice.

>>32268874

>Transferable minigun

That sure was a good investment! I wonder how much they cost now.

there is probably a Davy Crocket on the registry somewhere

No. There is not.

In Germany apparently it is, I've overhead it in a conversation already twice.

What a weird meme.

>>32269041

lol, I wonder where those ended up
>>
Don't know if it's true but an NFA dealer told me there was only one transferable Walther MPL subgun on the registry.
There are probably a few one offs in there.
>>
Not NFA, just Canuck, but someone here found once that somebody has a Yak-B cannon from an Mi-24 registered as a prohibited weapon
>>
>>32268918
You just found your own answer. Now put that together with I got permission and now you go: "ohhhh, he got to play with post86 samples".

Fully Transferable? MPLs and MPKs are very common on the pre-dealer sample market.

MK 19 Full auto grenade launcher, yours for 300k
>>
>>32268733
I fired at least one of every crew served/belt fed weapon in my battalion in the army. Was an engineer so that consisted of a mk19, M240, M249, and an M2.
I shot an MP5 at a shooting range in Wyandotte OK ten years ago. They're closed now, though.

The MP5 was the most enjoyable to shoot. The MA Deuce was the most exciting.

When I shot the MK19, I was with an uber safety fag 1LT who ruined the experience.

I'm not sure where you guys are getting these specific numbers of what is or isn't on the registry. They're not public record are they?

Anywho, this year the ATF listed the number of machine guns in the system.

>pre-86 (transferable) - 175,977
>sales samples (pre may keepers) - 17,020
>restricted 922(o) - 297,667

I've been able to test an MP5 and a G18, both post 86.

I've fired a few dealer's samples, but nothing NFA. Fired an RPD, a Glock 18, a M1919, and a Kriss Vector in the SMG configuration. The RPD was a thing of beauty, as the heavy-ass forend actually made sending 10 rounds of 7.62x39 downrange in one burst a joyous, pleasant experience. The Glock 18 was in 9mm, and was neat, but hard to control as a single burst. The range I fired this at actually tacks up the best scored targets of people that run the whole 30 round mag in a single burst. Sadly mine isn't up there, but I'd like to take a run at it again next year. The M1919 was fired from a table and was a total blast to shoot, but the real highlight for that one was getting to pop tannerite with it. The Kriss was easily the most miserable experience of them all, and would have been great if the damn thing had a foregrip on it. Gripping the nub of barrel where the grip would go was pretty uncomfortable, and so your hand would naturally travel downward to the magwell, where the slightest errant brush of the mag release would send the 30 round Glock mag in .45 ACP tumbling to the floor. As a result, I only managed to get two 3-round bursts off.

>>32269789
How did you find the M2? My dad crewed one during his time in the army and despised it. Said it was the most unreliable, pain in the ass to service piece of wartime junk he'd ever had the misery to deal with.
>>
>>32269938
really? I mean it wasn't like an old school one, it was one of the new ones, I dont even know the manufacturer, but we have them mounted on all kinds of vehicles still, very much in use across the army

NFA firearms I have fired:

M1919
BAR
MP5SD

Saw a Dillon minigun fired from an armored SUV, because Arizona and stuff. They are made here.

Could have been he was crewing an older or poorly maintained unit. This was also back around 1982 or so.
>>
>>32269997
the new ones are pretty good to go, the one I shot I put like 100 rounds through it, it jammed 1 time because the links got hung up but it took 2 sec to clear then back to full auto boomboomboomboomboom

>super rare: beretta 93R...expensive
I was going to post this. Expensive does not even cover it. Priceless is closer. Their might be as few as one working transferable 93r. Some claim their are more on the registery but these might be stripper receivers. The one known 93r had a titanium frame and beretta parts. The guy who owns it has posted on a arfcom and has in the past let random Internet gun fags shoot it. He also owns a registered colt 1911 .45 machine pistol, also the only one in on the registry (or in existence)

The Hughes Amendment is a crime, and all of America is the victim. Charlie Rangel deserves to be tried for treason and sentenced to death by hanging. Then once he is dead, hang his body from a bridge so that people can walk across it, and spit on his corpse. Afterwards, bury him face down, naked, and piss on his casket.
