>still paying billions for PESA destroyers
>paying hundreds of millions for glorified corvettes
>paying trillions for problematic planes
How do murifats continue to justify getting ripped off by lockmart?
>>32238250
Because America can afford it.
The 052D would be stealthier than the Burke due to all the flat faces, VLO shaped gun and general smaller size right?
>>32238250
The zumwalt looks so cool desu, like something out of Homeworld
>>32238250
>Red China
>good navy
Pic one.
>>32238250
1. They're getting upgraded to AESA.
2. Says the guy whose Navy actually has corvettes lmao
3. Guess you haven't been keeping up with news, it's in production now. Problematic planes would be you F-35 knockoff, with shitty engines and a horrible problem where it bleeds energy like a MoFo turn turns because you don't have the computer software to fly it.
>>32239282
In theory, yeah. The 052D has a much cleaner profile
>>32239355
>originar design, do not stear!
>>32239788
The 052D looks more like a T45 than a Burke.
>>32239355
>detailed drawing of a Burke and simple drawing of an 052D
At least use a newer Burke, spiral development my friend.
>>32238250
Don't you get bored, shitposting the same old tired crap every week?
>>32239167
NO WE FUCKING CANT.
We throw away so much money and the military industrial complex RIPS Americans off like fuck.
Seriously, $200 per pound of propellant for cannon shells?!
Obscene
>>32240022
Those RHIBs, cranes, and railings fucking everywhere are not RCS friendly, no matter the version.
The exposed antennae on the mast in particular are awful for RCS.
>>32240140
>RCS
how fucking well do you think we can hide a ship?
>>32240089
Whats worse is the fucking salaries & benefits & pensions to the people in the military
>>32240223
When that super sonic ASHM comes over the horizon, and you start firing your decoys/chaff out
you want as low an RCS as you can get
>>32240301
Yeah you're right I thought of that immediately after I posted. I dont thin OSHAA will let you take the rails off the damn thing
>>32240223
By building a ship with a much more enclosed and streamlined deck, ergo the Type 45 or a more extreme case the Zumwalt
Does anyone here really know anything about Chinese NAVY or are you just saying that they are bad becasue of "USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, we are the BEST WHOOOOO" ?
>>32240089
If Americans want money so bad, maybe they should get jobs within the military industrial complex?
>>32241223
That's what I'm doin
I just want to know why they look like they're fucking lined with aluminum foil.
uppo
>>32241201
Well they have a severe manpower shortage.
>>32238250
>Type 055 to be equipped with Stars of the Sea 3.0 AESA radars
I wonder what they will look like.
Maybe even larger than the already fuckhuge 2.0 variant on the 052D?
Size wise, this could be expected. It is a 180m monster ship, after all.
>>32238250
>still paying billions for PESA destroyers
I don't get this argument. It assumes that all AESA are equal, same with PESA. Just on the basis because the technological concept is newer is must be better, when that entirely ignores that the implementation of that technology.
People who are far smarter than myself have put it to me that the algorithms that interpret the signals (?) play a major role in detection.
Does anyone else get what I'm saying or am I just a loon?
>>32242204
>technological concept is newer is must be better
Except in this case it's completely correct. Active band radar is simply better than passive band

>>32241201
What do you think? Most posters are dumb as rock here.
>>32242307
Only shit. I want in on this deal.
>>32242284
On paper/theory yes, but if the implementation isn't fantastic that can null void any real advantage it has.
