That being said, the Turk 1911s are shit and you're more likely to use it as a display piece than shooting it. Save your shekels and buy a Colt or Ruger. I highly recommend the Ruger

From what I have seen, the Turk 1911s are like the rest of the Turk guns (Canik, various shotguns), in that they are inexpensive but not "cheap." If you were in the market for a Government-style 1911 that you actually plan on shooting, as opposed to having it just sit in a safe, they're actually a pretty good choice when it comes to value-per-dollar. At least as good as Armscor of the Philippines.
