Should I feed only surplus through my nugget or buy modern production
>>32216042
I wish there was more info on how they mounted the scope to the m48
>>32220884
id love to make a clone, i wonder if the scope mount is on a rail or just drilled straight into the receiver
>>32220878
whatevers cheapest. nothing wrong with either, you might see better accuracy with certain surplus vs similar priced commercial. but better quality commercial like brass cased PPU should be pretty accurate. of course it depends on how well set up your mosin is. i would just feed the basic bitch mosins the cheapest ammo you can find, unless you accurize it somehow and then it might be worth using better ammo
i should take a new picture sometime.
>>32222734
I want a handy little milsurp bolt action carbine with non-unobtanium ammo and not super harsh recoil. What are my options?
I love my little M95/30 but ammo is a bitch to find and it has some bad recoil. I want something around that size but without as much kick (8x56 isn't fun to shoot out of that small of a rifle)
In a perfect world id love a sporterized carbine length Ross with all of its problems ironed out but I don't want to chance it buying online and get a soft bolt head or anything.
>>32222865
Any of the Italian Carcanos would probably fit your needs

American whiskey>>>>>>>>>>>Canadian Whisky
They have no outstanding flavor profile, it's blended to hell and back, which makes it smooth, but with little taste. I would put any half decent American Rye whiskey against that bland bullshit that Canada makes. Sazerac for example. Or Rittenhouse. Even Japan makes better whisky than Canada.
>>32225693
Let's just pretend that you're not 12 for a minute, and that you have actually tried more than 1 Canadian whiskey. But whiskey is shit tier booze anyway for try hard, wannabe tough guy faggots who think it makes them look so much cooler than drinking other spirits, That they actually convince themselves that it tastes good in their heads.
>>32225792
I'm 30, you double nigger. When I was in the Navy, I drank enough whiskey to drown a horse. Just because your bitch ass can't handle a drink with flavor doesn't make your taste good.
>>32225792

Does anyone know if the "Nazi Marked" 8x56R ammo is corrosive?
I want to shoot some, but I'm scared that I won't properly clean it and it will fuck up everything.
not ww2 related, but since there's so many bolters, what is the first bolt action rifle and was it any good?
>>32233370
>Does anyone know if the "Nazi Marked" 8x56R ammo is corrosive?
Yes.
>I want to shoot some, but I'm scared that I won't properly clean it and it will fuck up everything.
Just flush the bore out with water and then clean like you normally would.
>>32233421
The Dreyse needle gun in 1836.
The Prussians loved it.
Danes didn't.
>>32234208
I was reading wiki about it and noticed this
>It has a rate of fire of about 10–12 rounds per minute.
Why the fuck do you need to say that in a bolter gun? It depends on the shooter anyways, since the cycling is manual

Budget fudd gun.
Ammo is prohibitavely expensive for most milsurp.
>>32235655
fudd guns are prohibitively ugly for most people though
>>32235907
depends, if you wanna shoot alot buy a cheap rifle and spend the rest of your budget on a decent scope and ammo.
Some durr rifles really are pretty though. the winchester m70 is very purdy.
same for most leverguns.
Dunno what it is about shortened milsurp, but it seems to be the only modification that doesn't look like shit on (common) milsurp

how much do long and carbine variants go for? Id be looking for an austrian one, is there a red-pill site for them or can someone sum up a buying guide in less than 2 paragraphs without using the term Jackie Chan
>>32240339
short ones you can get for under $80-200, long rifles are more uncommon, usually $300 will get you one with nice examples of more uncommon examples going up to $500ish

>>32223962
No clue. I have a sporterized Arisaka that I bought at a pawn shop in 1985 when I wss in high school. It's one of the rifles where they set the barrel back a thread or two and cut a .30-06 chamber and stuck on a sporter stock. I love it, and it for me into milsurp, but I can't see doing that to a Smelly.
Pic only kinda related. Arsenal refurbished Mauser in .308 Wincest. I think it was Spanish, but they scrubbed the factory stamps. Started out as an 8mm.
>>32240513
Sultan Spot? Where is that?
The only place i go thats not a range is Greenwater near the 4x4 trails.
>>32240540

but you didnt hear it from me
>>32240445
if thats what you are worried about dont worry. just clean afterwards, dont let the gun sit around dirty for weeks. just run a patch wet with water through the bore, then a dry patch, then solvents/oil like normal
that shit kicks like crazy compared to the PPU. PPU has nice brass for reloading though.
'41 Lithgow
>>32215734
Am i bad person if i want arepro l42a2? Theyre almost impossible to find in america and i think itsone of the coolest military sniperrifles built.

Enfield is a fazarkley no4 mk2, SN makes it an RAF contact
mas is cool, very different from other bolt guns I've owned, the bayo is especially neat. haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, just picked it up about a week ago
Three still in the wrap No.4 Mk.2's.
1955 Fakazerly with matching Bayo
Shitty M1 Carbine I picked up for $300.
>>32243906
I saw some dude selling 4 in GA, you get those off him?
>>32243932
Ahaha, yeah. A buddy got one and I got the other 3. He got the opened one and keeps trying to sell it on GB.
>>32243906
whats the going rate on these? is a grand too much? someone local selling one for $900, im thinking about it
>>32243967
Several went from $900 to $1,600 these are fucking MINT with matching number bayos. I'm gonna put them up for auction soon unless someone wants them.
>>32243696
was that MAS bought in the wrap? all those look fucking brand new
>>32243965
lmao I think I've seen that listing. you unwrap any of yours yet?
>>32243965
whats he asking?
>>32243980
are they sequential numbers? are you selling them as a set or just one? whats your asking price for one?
>>32243990
I think he took the GB auction down finally, he kept leaving it up for a week and then lowering the price $50 when it didn't sell and putting it back up.
No, and I'm not going to unwrap any. They're going to sit in my safe until someone wants to buy them.
>>32244005
His listing on Reddit is asking $1,200.
They're not sequential, sadly. I'm going to sell them individually unless someone wants to give me $3,000ish for all three. I would ask $1,200 or higher desu. The same condition guns have been going for >$1,200 in auctions.
>>32243988
nope, no wrap. almost all mas were arsenal refinished after the war, doesnt look like this one has ever been fired. the enfield also was out of the wrap when i bought it. its a contract rifle so it never was issued and appears to have never been fired. the m39 came in an immediate post war stock so its mint. the bluing is about 85% i'd say. 1941 VKT barrel, i think the receiver is izhevsk but i cant remember
>>32244073
i wish i bought a MAS when they were $80
>>32244055
damn if you were local i would be all over this. not sure i want to risk shipping and sending money to someone in another state
>>32244192
What state are you in? You can buy it when I put it on GB.

>>32244389

Got a M91/30 Nugget from 1925. Surprisingly good shape considering it's nearing its 100th birthday.
CBA to get it out of the safe.
>>32245375
I have a 1928 hex receiver thats also in remarkable condition. All matching erthing. They even included some crusty old soviet bandoliers and the original oil can. Still havent taken it out of plastic wrap though because it looks so nasty kek.
Is it safe to say pretty much every mosin was used in at least one world war?

>>32245177
300-600 is a "fair" price these days but they sometimes go for more than that depending on whether its in the wrap/condition and the date of production
>>32245177
>>32246844
for a mas that is
>>32245333
200 is a decent price, give us the specs. values of T99s can be anywhere from $80 for a typical sporterized stock cutdown to $1,000 for a rare maker/year matching with mum and original finish and condition
Got 2 P1907 bayonets for my MKIII SMLE. Any tips on cleaning them/getting the cosmoline out of their sheaths? Also any tips on cleaning the rifle for the first time? I know how to clean an AR and such but idk how to approach a historical firearm that has grime and pollen in nooks and crannies and a patina to preserve.
