I posted earlier today as an Anon on the ATI AR with aftermarket parts.
I've been offered a trade of a Ruger AR 556 in exchange for my Norinco NHM 90.
The AR's MSRP is $599, but it doesn't have a chrome-lined barrel.
I bought my AK for $600 plus tax.
Should I do it? Or just sell the AK outright and build a PSA one with an Anderson lower?
Thoughts?
Pic related it's my NHM 90
I'm strongly considering it. It seems like a good deal but I don't know enough about them to make a decision. A little help, /k/?

That ak is probably worth around 900.
Plus its a Chinese ak which is probably one of the best ones ever imported .

I wouldn't do it. Do you not have the money to build an AR and also keep your AK?

I've got $800 on it at the gun shop that's consigning it.

I agree with him. Fuck that shitty Ruger.
An NHM90 in good condition is worth $800-1000+ in this market, depending on variables. I'd put a premium if it has marked out 56S-1 markings.

Keep the fucking Ak.Odds are your not gonna find another NHM 90 any time soon. You can always build an ar15 or buy a delton .

I'd rather not have the AK. I've had it for months and shot it a few times. It kisses the brass on the way out with the dust collector and the rail mounted on the dust cover throws the scope all over the place.
All in all, I'd rather trade range for punch. I'd prefer to shoot out to 200-300 yards without a lot of drop or other variables.

Want to buy it? Because I really don't want it. I got it for a good deal and I'd prefer to sell it. It's going for $800 right now.

If that's the case, then yeah I guess sell it outright and buy or build an AR. If you go with the PSA midlength melonite rifle kit I linked in the other thread, an Anderson lower, and whatever your preference of rear sight, you'll have plenty left over for mags and some boxes of ammo.

That was my plan, especially since it's a lot less expensive than the Ruger. I didn't know much about the Ruger to begin with other than it belongs to a coworker. He was going to include two 40 round mags and a 30 rounder, plus some wolf ammo and other brands with green tip, high enough quality to kill Harambe five times over.
Anyway, it's really expensive and I'd rather build one because it's more fun that way. Plus you seem to know your stuff so I take it you've done this before.
