Maybe you know something I don't, but as far as what security guards in Florida can legally carry:
> Chapter 493
PRIVATE INVESTIGATIVE, PRIVATE SECURITY, AND REPOSSESSION SERVICES
>In addition to any other firearm approved by the department, licensee who has been issued a Class āGā license may carry a .38 caliber revolver; or a .380 caliber or 9 millimeter semiautomatic pistol; or a .357 caliber revolver with .38 caliber ammunition only; or a .40 caliber handgun; or a .45 ACP handgun while performing duties authorized under this chapter.
Now "the In addition to any other firearm approved by the department" seems like a pretty good loophole to expand what you can carry, a friend of mine who did reading on the subject made it sound like the approved department firearms were mostly shotguns and that one getting into such a career would be better off (in the legal sense, not the practical sense because I would rather go with a semiauto rifle myself) using either an approved shotgun or a handgun in the above approved calibers.
npap underfolders are cheap (in a good way)
