Hey folks. I recently came into possession of a 1906 gewehr 98. Unfortunately someone down the line sporterized it. No real fudding other than removing the front portion if the stock.
Tldr: anyone know a place to get replacement stock parts for antique guns?
Here you go anon

There are reproduction stocks available, but they do cost a couple hundred dollars:

A lot of people use Brazilian M1908 stocks to restore pre-war Gew.98s since they at least have the space for the unit marking disc.

Numrich has some too:

Sadly that's all I could find and it looks like it might just be a mislabeled Kar98 stock...
Holy shit /k/was helpful. Thanks guys.

Sarco Inc.
The last time I was in the store they had a complete set of G98 stock and hardware. Not sure if it is on their website but find their number and give them a call. They most likely have all the hardware that is needed as well.
BTW it looks like you also need the top handguard too.
Im trying to do the samething to a 1903, the only bubba is a stock change, and a drill and tap.

The same sites mentioned before should have what you are looking for; libertrytreecollectors, numrich (gunpartscorp), Sarco and maybe Brownells.
Also do some research on 1903's. Depending on when and where it was made, could effect the kind of stock it had.
speaking of liberty tree, i think this is kinda high, but i have been wanting a FN49 or a MAS 49/56

Liberty tree in general seems kinda high priced.
