What would a WW3 scale naval task force against China look like?

The task force would mostly be made up of the Seventh Fleet. Europe is too weak to send any ships to the other side of the world and JDSF Navy and ROK Navies would be sunk in their harbours

It'd look an awful lot like Desert Shield's task force in the gulf: 100% US ships in 2 CBG's.

The Japs don't have shit other than 3 helicopter carriers that may or may not be able to make it to Chinese waters (even as close as they are), and the ROK doesn't have shit period.

Chinese long range PL-XX missiles shoot down US AWACS and tankers, ASBM end all US carriers, IRBMs crater all US bases in the area = US immediately ceases hostilities and accepts China's legitimate security interests in the region.

Japans helicopter destoryers would watch ports, pure anti sub.

Their destoryers are actually very good anti missile ships, as they dont have tomahawks so 100% of their VLS are for self defense, would be a great help to US forces.

UK and France both have decent force projection capability, you could potentially see a carrier group and an amphibious group from each. Other European countries would likely send one or two ships to contribute like they did with Iraq.

I don't see Japan and Korea cooperating any time soon. If one joined the war the other would declare neutrality.
