If you REALLY want a .45 I can't stress the USP 45 enough. Easily the nicest one I've ever shot, built like a tank. If not that, the FNX 45 is pretty great. If you're getting a .45 you're going to want to shovel out a bit more dosh more a better handgun.

I don't know about the American in .45, but my next door neighbor has an American in 9 and we both think it's ass. I don't know why he doesn't sell it, because he admits how bad it is... Anyways, I didn't believe him so he told me to go shoot it and see for myself. Well, I saw. It was not very accurate, it didn't sit right in my hands, the kick was just....wrong.
